June 29, 1993 - Tuesday - Compatible with Kimmeth?

I was rudely awakened last night at eleven o'clock from really deep sleep. Now that I think about I had no idea why mother came into my room. She finally got it through my head that Kimmeth was on the phone! She's still in Jim and Tiffany's old apartment. She's been going out a little bit, to movies by herself and a few bars, but not very much. She told me about guys that hit on her but she would have nothing to do with. She's also still at the job she had just gotten when we talked last time. We talked until almost twelve-thirty and both had tons of stuff to tell each other. We never did run out of things to say and break down into that philosophical blabber that we sometimes do.

She was joking about wondering where she's going to move off to this time when she's saved up enough money. I then asked her where she's going to take me. She told me that I have to come down to Ft. Lauderdale first for a `compatibility test!' Gladly! We were talking about moving off to Europe somewhere. Kostas had just recently told me to say hello to Kim for him, so I did. She told me that she really wants me to take a weekend off soon and come down to see her. It was really great to hear from her, and I loved the way we were talking to each other as we were closing up. It was obvious that we both really wanted to talk to each other so much more, but it was late and we were both tired. We've learned to hang up a little quicker than we used to be able to, fortunately.

I also had a little realization today. I remember being a little perturbed about her `infatuations' over Stuart and even Andy. I realized that Kimmeth is my biggest infatuation, but another girl could come along that I could love just as much and go out with. The same is true for her, and with that, most of my jealousy involving Kim flew out the window. Hurrah.

I worked on the Kumba today, but didn't have to be there until 3:15. I went to the lounge a little bit early and brought a drink. I said hello to Sean and August. I also talked with Dayanara. Their table was full so I sat right behind them as James came in. HE asked me how the rest of my evening at Questor was. I told him I had a great time. I said that I really liked that girl, Linda, who came in when he left. He knew exactly who I was talking about, because he dated her for a little while!!! He said that I was right about her wearing blue contacts, although her eyes are a light blue-green. He asked me if I really liked her and then said that he'd put in a good word for me tonight because he's going to a party that she's helping to throw!!! That's really cool! James is awesome! She went to the Academy of Holy Names and is going to gainesville in the Fall!!! Oh the possibilities!

After James left, Karim came in all dressed up nice. She had just taken her Senior pictures for her yearbook. I found out that she's planing on going to FSU, worthless bitch. I also talked to Terri for a little while and was being all sweet to her. While we were in there, they suddenly received a code two thousand from Kumba. That means the ride has stopped and people are on the ride. It turns out that one coaster kept stopping on the upper break. Every time the mechanic would get the thing going again, we would all pray that it would stop again, and it would! We were shut down for almost an hour and a half! I talked to Martin, Karim, and Bridgette for quite a while at the height stick.

There was a line and we kept talking to the people and convincing them to experience other attractions and come back later. It was fun. I the went down with Karim to the photo shop and talked to both Lori and Laurie. We joked around for quite a long time. I saw Stephanie and made a surprised face and stretched out my arms> She returned the gesture and we hugged. She came and talked to us and we had a good old time making fun of people. Darby and Damien's little sister came in and we ragged on them hard. She's been dubbed a stupid blonde already. When we finally reopened I stayed on the boardwalk until seven o'clock! I was having fun talking to the girls in the food and merchandise shops. I saw Stephen a couple of times and we were looking over these awesome girls. They had slightly unhappy looks on their faces and he asked them what's wrong. One looked at us and said that she was cold! We brushed off the urge and joked that we'd love to warm them up! It was great! I also had these girls just up and say hi when I passed by them on a bench. I wasn't really paying attention and it took me by surprise.

I leant Stephanie fifty cents later on. I had to change a dollar at the gift shop and the girl said that I owe her now. She was rather ugly and Stephanie made a boy-you're-lucky-now sound towards me. We joked that that favor will come back to haunt me! It was funny. I told her that she had to bring me back a swallow, and she did. Good girl. I rode the coaster three times on my break in the front seat as did Tony. He was off, and wanted to ride but needed a bit of encouragement before he'd cut the line with supervisors around. It was no big deal because I had already gotten approval from Jimmy. I had Stephanie take our nametags and she put them all on her shirt. She then climbed up on my harness and was pushing it up and down. She could have been screwing me if that damn harness weren't there! I asked her if she could do that some more and we laughed. We did a track run as soon as I came back from break. Stephanie and I walked down through the Cobra Roll and I showed her how to look for money. She stomped her foot down on the first nickel as I went to pick it up, so I picked up her leg and she gave in. I wasn't really trying, but did find a quarter. She was complaining that she didn't. I worked with Karim in the front of the coaster for the last hour. We talked quite a bit, mainly about being pissed off that upper management let a little kid ride just because he bitched enough. That was fucking stupid. How can they expect us to stick to the rules if they don't, and make it so blatantly obvious. Jimmy said that we could ride on the last coaster. I asked KArim where she wanted to sit, and she said the back. We ran back there and I had to yell at Willie to get out of my seat next to her. I like the front more, and Stephanie agrees with me.

Karim and I walked towards Cobra Roll after our final ride to look for someone's lost Oakley's. He also sent Stephanie with us. She seemed surprised that all three of us were going to the same area. I told her that we can't do a good track run without her! She ran up behind me and jumped on my back, I shifted and grabbed a hold of her legs and carried her a little ways. We then were looking for money again. She said that she wanted one more nickel so she could make a phone call. I looked at the ground and asked her what that is after throwing down the nickel she had stepped on earlier. She asked where and I picked it up and handed it to her. She then realized that I had just thrown it down and started laughing at that. She waited for me to run and get my raincoat at the height stick and then we walked out the back way. We ran into Lori and we all talked as we walked to the parking lot and departed for the evening.
