June 5, 1993 - Saturday - Karim, my love!, Kimmeth

I had a pretty exciting and eventful day today. Socially, it was perfect! I worked on the Kumba and started at the same time as Patrica. We were both in the lounge about fifteen minutes early, and we talked and actually showed interest in each other. She even shared her candy with me. We walked over to the control panel and Jan, one of the big supervisors, actually let us choose where we wanted to work. I took boardwalk which turned out to be really fun. High school is out and there were gorgeous girls everywhere! It was unbelievable. It's really easy to strike up a conversation out on boardwalk because you can stop and talk, unlike the platform where you have responsibilities.

I talked to my two ladies in the camera booth for a little while. She asked me once in the food shop was open yet, because she'd go and get some ice water if it was. I knew that it was, but I told her I had to go and see. I went inside and brought back three cups of ice water. The third girl was an extremely good looking girl nd I wanted to score some brownie points. I then saw this very pretty blonde working in the gift shop. She looked so unhappy. I went back and got her a cup of water, and walked up saying, `Merry Christmas!,' as I gave it to her. She smiled really big and thanked me. She has this very neat hint of a country accent in the way she speaks. I then went and talked to Ray up at the height stick for a little while.

My niceness investment worked out perfectly. The blonde, Lisa, called me back over and had a big grin on her face. She told me all about how, when she went to put the water under the counter, her money drawer sprang open and she spilled a third of the water onto the money. She was laughing about it. I told her that my getting her water worked then, because she seemed in a much better mood than before. She liked that a lot and agreed. I ended up talking to her a lot through the next four hours as I walked around on boardwalk. The cute girl in the camera shop kept smiling at me, and giggled once when a kid dropped his box of popcorn and I made an exasperated expression. It was cute.

Patrica was up on turnstile, so I kept walking up to see her as well. We kept talking and joking around. It was fun. She was showing her aggravation at the guests once, by rapping her fingernails on the lid of the garbage can once, and I acted annoyed and kept trying to make her stop. I told her I'd walk around with that noise in my head if she didn't. I ended up putting my hand on hers, holding down her fingers.

I also made a very good impression on the `ruthless bitch.' A lot of people have complained about Melissa. I agree with them from what she said to me the first few times I worked with her. As soon as I found out that she was nobody important, just another regular employee, I didn't take her seriously at all. I decided not to let her bother me in any way. Instead, I started joking around with her. I found out that her father is a German-Jew but only claims the German and is very racist. He doesn't want them to have black friends or even Spanish. Anyway, I went around talking to her today, an was extremely nice and talkative. I walked around with her when she would leave on break. I said something, to which she didn't believe, asking why I'd do that for `bitchy little me!' I joked sarcastically that I am trying to be nice to her and if she'd quit being so mean to me... She obviously liked that. When I came in later, she waved to get my attention, and smiled saying hello. It's something she doesn't do that often. I felt special.

Now for Karim. I knew that she came in at kiddie rides at eleven o'clock. When Melissa relieved me for my first break, I went straight there to see her. Bill was there, and we talked for a minute. Jacqueline was alos there, so I talked to her about Chris, that guy she was flirting with that time. I saw him Friday night, calling him by name so he'd know I didn't forget. He and I talked for a few minutes about her, and he told me that he tried to call her back, but she's been out of town. I knew then that she had to have called him first, so I brought it up. She was surprised that I knew and had been talking to him. She said that she felt guilty after she called so she told her boyfriend, which made him jealous. I laughed but respected her honesty towards him.

I then went and talked to my honey. Actually I'm her honey, as she called me all day long. She's going on Beach Week this coming week, so I won't see her for a while. She had just gone and had her nails done this morning. I was holding her hand, looking at them. She has a `earring' through one of them that is a little heart. She asked me I liked it, and I truthfully told her no. She then whined saying that it means she loves me. I quickly changed my opinion.

We really seem to touch and hang on each other more than any other girl that I have ever dated. I wondered why she doesn't have a boyfriend if she does this to every cute guy. Maybe she doesn't. There was this other guy in grounds named Jason that kept talking to her through the day, which made me jealous. I though he was pool from the Flume. I decided to get to know my opponent. It turns out that he's brand new so we were talking for a few minutes. He said that they're just throwing him around in shit jobs until they find a real one for him, either in Timbuktu or Congo. Timbuktu, please!!!

Anyway, I also came back during the last fife minutes of lunch, but stayed fifteen. Alan found a little squirt gun at lunch and was shooting water at me and soaking me. He shot some right on the front of my pants making it look like I pissed on myself. Karim had one when I went over there that she had found. She started squirting me, too. Of course I had to wrestle with her so that I could squirt her.

She asked me to do something on the ride, and I complained that she's just using me. She gave me a sad face and hugged me and said, isn't that what I want. I said of course, but there are better ways to be used. She asked me who said that they were coming? We were talking like this all day, making sexual references and talking about wanting each other. She told me once that I have pretty eyes. I jokingly told her that I know, and I have long eyelashes. She called me conceited, and then looked at them and agreed that I do. It was funny.

When I first walked over, Bill laughed about me scamming on Karim. I agreed that I am and he says he knows, for I was being pretty obvious. We laughed and then I went and talked to her. I didn't go over there during my third break, but on my fourth, I was back. Every time I leave, We both make our sad face saying how hard it's going to be until were together again. It's really funny. I promised her I'd come back when I got off at seven. After I did, I was leaning on the control panel so that we were very close, face to face. We were doing that a lot, though. We were talking again, and Jason, the new guy came up. I had just complained about my feet hurting and not wanting to drive all of the way home. She asked me where I live. When I said Town n Country, she exclaimed that she does, too!!! We then slapped each other five. This is when Jason came over. I kept the conversation going between us. She then kept asking me where in town n Country I live. As we were talking we completely ignored Jason although he kept trying to interrupt us. I noticed it the entire time, and was loving every minute of it.

She lives right over behind Publix. That's awesome!!! I thought before that she probably lives far away because she went to Tampa Catholic for high school. She kept telling me that she wanted me to work on the kiddie rides for the rest of the evening. There's a night function until ten. I complained about her trying to use me again. She kept asking me throughout our conversation. She finally asked me why I didn't want to stay and work with her! Only then did I understand that she wanted me to work WITH her, not instead of her! How sweet! I told her that I was going home to talk on the phone, however, and doubt that I would have bothered anyway. She wanted to know who I was going to talk to and I told her that it's just this girl I know who recently moved to Ft. Lauderdale. Kim mentioned about me driving over to see her once if she went with jim and Tiffany to Melbourne, and since I found out that I have Monday and Tuesday off, I thought but doubted that I'd get to go see her. I told Karim about possibly going, though.

We hung on each other a little longer, squirting each other with a little Kumba water gun. She asked me earlier if I knew of any good parties for the evening. I told her that I didn't. When I asked her what time she got off work, she told me and then asked why, in a somewhat hopeful and interested tone. It sounded like she wanted to maybe do something. maybe that's just what I wanted to here. As I left we said goodbye and I headed slowly over towards the train station. She ran to the wall and called my name. When I turned around she smiled really big and blew me a giant kiss with both hands. I blew one back and she laughed.

I waited until around ten to call Kimmeth. I kind of wasn't expecting her to be home but just wanted to be able to say that I called her back before she changed apartments. She answered and I was so glad to hear her voice. We started talking about all of the new things that have happened lately. She told me that she had promised to go to the movies in half an hour so we tried to get all of the important stuff out in time. She told that she has some good news for me. She called Stuart over in England to have a woman answer the phone. After some momentary shuffling, he answered the phone. I laughed. She then said that he got a new job and doesn't know when he'll be coming back over here! I was happy. That really cheered me up and she knew that it would.

We hung up with her having just a few minutes to get to the theater which is right around the corner. Somebody, probably Tiffany, kept telling her that it was getting closer and closer to the movie. The phone rang a couple of seconds later and I figured it to be someone who had been trying to call while I was on the phone. Surprisingly, it was her again. She said that when she realized that she still had to go withdraw money, she decided not to go and to call me back instead! Boy I was happy! We talked and joked around until eleven thirty, when I cut our conversation off because I hadn't eaten dinner yet. I still thoroughly enjoyed talking to her, and told her so. She's so wonderful!
