June 30, 1993 - Wednesday - Chrissy, Kumba picture!

Oh what a day! Popularity was indeed in my favor this time. Everybody was much more alive today because it poured early in the day and stayed overcast the remainder. That way it was much cooler and more comfortable than normal. I opted for height stick early in the morning. It wasn't very long before it started pouring. Ryan told me that we were getting two girls, one from Timbuktu and one from Dwarf Village. They didn't have anybody to train the girl from Timbuktu, so they sent her back right away. She was a cuter light black girl named Summer and I joked with her for a second. The next one was named Chrissy and she was somewhat attractive. She seemed a bit mean and unresponsive to begin with, but I soon broke her down. Ryan put her on boardwalk and we started talking. She would have been over in Congo all day without really meeting anybody all day if it hadn't been for me. Ron Jones joked with her for a second, but didn't progress any further. She would have been entirely neglected, of course it would be partially her fault as well. I think it's in a lot of peoples' minds that you can't just up and be friendly with someone out of the blue. I find that stupid.

I invited her into the queue with me after asking her to go get my raincoat out of the booth. It was storming horribly and that's when we really got to know each other as much as you can in one day. She's 23 and is almost a registered nurse. I told her she can come and work with me if I become a doctor. She's moving to Colorado really soon, where her sisters and cousins live. She says she really doesn't like the heat and humidity here. We talked about what we both had done during the big storm back in March. She had gone to a concert in a dress.

The rain eventually stopped and the clouds started moving in almost the entirely opposite direction. The same storm front yesterday had caused tornados yesterday just north of Tampa. We watched as these black blotchy clouds dipped closer and closer to the ground. They were off towards the brewery and started swirling around each other. We both started in awe thinking fully about the possibility of it forming a funnel cloud. It was weird how all of the clouds seemed to be converging around a central point and dropping downwards. It reminded me of the cloud scene from ghost busters. It was truly amazing. We stood there shoulder to shoulder, figuring out where we would go if a tornado formed, and imaging the horrible disaster if a tornado hit with so many people congested in such a wide open area. It would be horrible. The clouds eventually pulled back up and flattened out.

Michael came and got me on break and Chrissy and I went walking through the rain. She asked me if I'd show her where the breakroom is and we walked down there together. The one thing I noticed from the start were her big blue green eyes. They were very pretty and I really wanted to tell her, but didn't. I was impressed by them the entire day. She had been wearing her raincoat and hood the entire time, and she finally pulled it off to reveal her mid-back length wavy brown hair. It was actually quite pretty. She had some grays and I pointed that out. We ended up joking around quite a bit from then on. Dayanara was in the breakroom and I went to give her a big hug with my wet coat still on. She refused and we then talked for a few minutes. I went into the girls bathroom to comb my hair. Chrissy went to walk into the other one until she realized it was the men's. She came and kicked me out and said she had to pee. She started taking off her jacket while I was there outside of the door and I told her that she was aloud to shut it, but didn't have to if she didn't want to.

I went and sat down and Stephanie came in. She was crying because she was all soaking wet and we hugged in an attempt for me to comfort her. We talked for a little bit until I had to walk back with Chrissy. We both ended up on the platform after that and were talking a little more. I noticed her watching me with those beautiful eyes every once in a while when I'd walk into the queue to survey the guests.

It was still raining but the Kumba was up. Ryan, Scott, and Ron all rode and said that the Kumba was hauling ass! I had to see for myself so I rode three times at lunch. It was flying and felt awesome! You could really feel the difference on the cobra roll and the spirals. It was great. I told Lori that I just got off and she said she's print me up a picture. I went to the lounge and talked to Laura and Stephanie. Stephanie wanted some watermelon. I told her that it feels like we're going out because I'm buying all of her food. I gave her my keys and told her if she could find my locker, she could have some of my Kumba change. I ended up telling her where it is and getting money for me to buy a Cherry Coke. She was going to feed me some, but I hate it. Chrissy came in and Stephanie and Brad were saying something mean about her until she came over and sat by me. We then talked for a few minutes. She ended up leaving at 2:30 because she had to pick up a friend at the airport.

I talked to Stephen quite a bit, too. We'll always call each other from across a walkway and said hello and talk for a few minutes. He's really cool.

On one of my breaks, I decided to make my rounds by visiting Kiddie Rides. My intentions were to visit Terri, until I saw Dayanara and Laura there, too! I was in heaven and decided to make an experience out of it. I talked to Dayanara first. She told me she wanted me to stay and talk with her. I was being all wonderful, saying how much I like her. We were talking about sexual harassment, and what is and isn't harassment. She said that she always harasses the guys. She was flicking me with water that was dripping off of the ceiling. I told her that I know because she's turning me on by getting me wet. We got a little perverted and i\t was really funny. I then talked to Terri for a few minutes. We caught up on each others' lives and then talked about tornados for a few minutes. I then talked to Laura and went I went to say goodbye to Daya one last time, Laura grabbed my arm and made me stay with her!

I saw Dayanara later and we joked around some more. I told her that My new goal for the summer is to be as dark as her, a Colombian. She's really dark, and I'd love to be like that. I was flirting with some really pretty girls that kept coming through the line throughout the day. Jason and I were joking with them towards the end of the day when we were both out front. I also was talking briefly with these two girls from Sea World. I rode the Kumba once earlier with this British woman. Later, while I was on boardwalk, a woman came up and asked me which way to the Kumba. She then remembered that I was me, and asked me if I hadn't ridden with her earlier. She seemed all happy that she had remembered me. It was funny. I also worked my way over to the merchandising hut and said hello to the girls in there.

I walked up and Laurie, the cute one, said that she really wanted some popcorn and told me to go get her some. I told her no and then left. I then ran to Congo to the popcorn stand and was going to sweet talk a small cup out of the people there, but they were closed. I couldn't find any other shops that sell it, so I went back empty handed. She had gone to the bathroom and we walked back to the shop together. I told her of my efforts, and that I tried really hard. I also told her that I couldn't find little kids to steal it from. I then went back over to the photo shop with her. Lori was jokingly shaking her head at Laurie, telling her she's not supposed to be running around talking. She then showed me my picture. It didn't come out that great. There was this young fat girl there and she asked me if I wanted it, because if not, she'd take it and grabbed it and held it against her. I said that I'd take it just to show it off. I also said that I'd ride again when I get off at seven for one more try.

When I did, I hopped on with this woman and her two older daughters in the front seat. The one I sat next to, I had found very attractive earlier in the day. Afterwards I stopped and talked for a minute with Bridgette at the height stick. This time the picture came out a lot better, with a lot more color. they asked me which one I wanted and I pointed to the new one, saying that it has the better looking girls in it. There were guys all around me and they all openly agreed. One said, `Good man!' The girls in the booth yelled at me. She put my picture in a frame and bagged it for me. We said our goodbyes and I left down to Kiddie Rides to say goodbye to Laura and to show off my picture. She was glad to see me and wanted me to switch with her. She then asked me what I bought her. I then showed her and she was surprised that I got it free. I told her it was because Lori loves me. I didn't tell her which Laurie I was referring to, I'll let her use her imagination. She begged me to stay for her and I told her that since she would be gone, and it would be pointless for me to stay. We then said bye and I went home. What fun!

June 29, 1993 - Tuesday - Compatible with Kimmeth?

I was rudely awakened last night at eleven o'clock from really deep sleep. Now that I think about I had no idea why mother came into my room. She finally got it through my head that Kimmeth was on the phone! She's still in Jim and Tiffany's old apartment. She's been going out a little bit, to movies by herself and a few bars, but not very much. She told me about guys that hit on her but she would have nothing to do with. She's also still at the job she had just gotten when we talked last time. We talked until almost twelve-thirty and both had tons of stuff to tell each other. We never did run out of things to say and break down into that philosophical blabber that we sometimes do.

She was joking about wondering where she's going to move off to this time when she's saved up enough money. I then asked her where she's going to take me. She told me that I have to come down to Ft. Lauderdale first for a `compatibility test!' Gladly! We were talking about moving off to Europe somewhere. Kostas had just recently told me to say hello to Kim for him, so I did. She told me that she really wants me to take a weekend off soon and come down to see her. It was really great to hear from her, and I loved the way we were talking to each other as we were closing up. It was obvious that we both really wanted to talk to each other so much more, but it was late and we were both tired. We've learned to hang up a little quicker than we used to be able to, fortunately.

I also had a little realization today. I remember being a little perturbed about her `infatuations' over Stuart and even Andy. I realized that Kimmeth is my biggest infatuation, but another girl could come along that I could love just as much and go out with. The same is true for her, and with that, most of my jealousy involving Kim flew out the window. Hurrah.

I worked on the Kumba today, but didn't have to be there until 3:15. I went to the lounge a little bit early and brought a drink. I said hello to Sean and August. I also talked with Dayanara. Their table was full so I sat right behind them as James came in. HE asked me how the rest of my evening at Questor was. I told him I had a great time. I said that I really liked that girl, Linda, who came in when he left. He knew exactly who I was talking about, because he dated her for a little while!!! He said that I was right about her wearing blue contacts, although her eyes are a light blue-green. He asked me if I really liked her and then said that he'd put in a good word for me tonight because he's going to a party that she's helping to throw!!! That's really cool! James is awesome! She went to the Academy of Holy Names and is going to gainesville in the Fall!!! Oh the possibilities!

After James left, Karim came in all dressed up nice. She had just taken her Senior pictures for her yearbook. I found out that she's planing on going to FSU, worthless bitch. I also talked to Terri for a little while and was being all sweet to her. While we were in there, they suddenly received a code two thousand from Kumba. That means the ride has stopped and people are on the ride. It turns out that one coaster kept stopping on the upper break. Every time the mechanic would get the thing going again, we would all pray that it would stop again, and it would! We were shut down for almost an hour and a half! I talked to Martin, Karim, and Bridgette for quite a while at the height stick.

There was a line and we kept talking to the people and convincing them to experience other attractions and come back later. It was fun. I the went down with Karim to the photo shop and talked to both Lori and Laurie. We joked around for quite a long time. I saw Stephanie and made a surprised face and stretched out my arms> She returned the gesture and we hugged. She came and talked to us and we had a good old time making fun of people. Darby and Damien's little sister came in and we ragged on them hard. She's been dubbed a stupid blonde already. When we finally reopened I stayed on the boardwalk until seven o'clock! I was having fun talking to the girls in the food and merchandise shops. I saw Stephen a couple of times and we were looking over these awesome girls. They had slightly unhappy looks on their faces and he asked them what's wrong. One looked at us and said that she was cold! We brushed off the urge and joked that we'd love to warm them up! It was great! I also had these girls just up and say hi when I passed by them on a bench. I wasn't really paying attention and it took me by surprise.

I leant Stephanie fifty cents later on. I had to change a dollar at the gift shop and the girl said that I owe her now. She was rather ugly and Stephanie made a boy-you're-lucky-now sound towards me. We joked that that favor will come back to haunt me! It was funny. I told her that she had to bring me back a swallow, and she did. Good girl. I rode the coaster three times on my break in the front seat as did Tony. He was off, and wanted to ride but needed a bit of encouragement before he'd cut the line with supervisors around. It was no big deal because I had already gotten approval from Jimmy. I had Stephanie take our nametags and she put them all on her shirt. She then climbed up on my harness and was pushing it up and down. She could have been screwing me if that damn harness weren't there! I asked her if she could do that some more and we laughed. We did a track run as soon as I came back from break. Stephanie and I walked down through the Cobra Roll and I showed her how to look for money. She stomped her foot down on the first nickel as I went to pick it up, so I picked up her leg and she gave in. I wasn't really trying, but did find a quarter. She was complaining that she didn't. I worked with Karim in the front of the coaster for the last hour. We talked quite a bit, mainly about being pissed off that upper management let a little kid ride just because he bitched enough. That was fucking stupid. How can they expect us to stick to the rules if they don't, and make it so blatantly obvious. Jimmy said that we could ride on the last coaster. I asked KArim where she wanted to sit, and she said the back. We ran back there and I had to yell at Willie to get out of my seat next to her. I like the front more, and Stephanie agrees with me.

Karim and I walked towards Cobra Roll after our final ride to look for someone's lost Oakley's. He also sent Stephanie with us. She seemed surprised that all three of us were going to the same area. I told her that we can't do a good track run without her! She ran up behind me and jumped on my back, I shifted and grabbed a hold of her legs and carried her a little ways. We then were looking for money again. She said that she wanted one more nickel so she could make a phone call. I looked at the ground and asked her what that is after throwing down the nickel she had stepped on earlier. She asked where and I picked it up and handed it to her. She then realized that I had just thrown it down and started laughing at that. She waited for me to run and get my raincoat at the height stick and then we walked out the back way. We ran into Lori and we all talked as we walked to the parking lot and departed for the evening.

June 28, 1993 - Monday - Linda @ Questor, Melissa

I had an awesome day at work on Sunday!, but first comes Saturday. I worked on the widely feared Kiddie Rides. I then received a call from Alan asking me if I want to close the Python instead. It only added about an hour, but it got me out of three hours of Pygmy Village! that was cool. I got to work with August for a little while and closed with Sean and Stephanie. Stephanie and I joked around on occasion and talked quite a bit. These two younger girls in low cut shirts and a guy were coming back onto the ride through the exit. We both wondered where they came from, because I definitely didn't see them on the last ride. I told Stephanie as I looked at the one girl's chest that I definitely would have remembered THOSE! It was funny.

Later on a guy found some change on the seat and I joked that he had to turn it over. He obliged by saying that I earned a tip and threw me a penny. Stephanie asked if she could see it and I told her she didn't deserve a tip. I was ready to throw a sexual reference at her if she didn't take the bait, but she did! She asked if last night wasn't good enough for me!? and I told her that I didn't feel a thing! I asked her to wake me up next time! Sean told us to be nice so we started throwing the penny back and forth, insisting that the other keep it.

I saw a Darby a few times during the day at the Kiddie Rides and on our breaks. She does have a boyfriend that works at Busch, but who cares. Alan called me later in the day and asked if I wanted to work Sunday over at Questor. There was a chance that we might go to Grandma's 94th birthday party so I called home first. I found out that Father had to work, so I eagerly accepted the work. We hear stories of the gorgeous women that work over at Questor and the surrounding areas, and I wanted to see for myself! I walked out with Sean and he told me that James was over there, too. I figured that would be cool because we're good friends and it'll be really cool having someone over there that you know to fall back on.

I parked in treetops and took the Skyride to Questor in the morning. I took the wheelchair entrance only to find James at the turnstile. He was happily surprised to see me over there as well. I then went into the control room only to run into Angie, Alan's wife! I then figured that she called Alan and asked for some extras when her shifts fell through. I then realized how cool it may be because now she can just call James and I back whenever she needs to fill a shift with an already trained person. That's cool! Literally because the entire building is air conditioned. I had an awesome day and would transfer over there in a second. I already know that I can easily handle the `boredom' of a single ride. Most importantly, I don't think they hire guys at Questor very often because there are so many girl's!!!

A gorgeous blonde named Linda trained me on the turnstile and exit and told me that I'd be rotating between the two every half hour. She was really cute, sensuous cute. That is the one thing that really impressed me, the girls were sensuous! I also loved the entire environment of the place. The turnstile is computerized and wheelchair access is easy through a buzzered door to the side. I had a blast talking to the people and flirting with the girls throughout the day. That five minute wait gives you plenty of time to have a real conversation and early in the day, the people are still really impressionable as to what they are going to do the rest of the day. I had quite a few ask me what's fun and where to go next. I always sent them over the Skyride to Congo. I had one women tell her friend how glad she was that they ran into me. That made me feel really good! I also did and said things to make people smile and be happy quite often. It was a lot of fun!

And then there is the exit. I compare it to sleeping! Your job is to close the rear doors to the simulators and to take wheelchairs to the exit. You are in contact with the people for no more than a minute before having another break of often much more than five minutes. The exit doors lock tight and secure you from the real world during this time. You have no contact with the real world and no responsibilities whatsoever during this time. The long hallway is dimly lit and painted a very mellow and soft gray that is very memorizing. The same Questor music plays over and over and helps to put you in a trance. I had some awesome thinking time while at the exit, and it felt so good to sit down. I called James once from the turnstile to ask him something and he later told me how glad he was that I called just so he could talk to somebody for a few seconds!

Another cool part was that the girl running the ride had to close her set of doors right after I close mine. Two of my doors would remain open until I myself exit. It gave me the perfect opportunities to flirt with the girl as my door closed and give them interesting looks. I loved it.

I was at the turnstile later on when another gorgeous girl came in. She had semi curly light brown hair up in a pony tail. She came in and started joking along with me to a guest. We were talking quickly and she suddenly stopped and told me that I'm tall. I looked at her and told her that she has blue eyes! Later on, I came back to relieve her and said, `Hello Blue Eyes!' She came in a little while later from the prep room and asked me if Dan is really my name. She then said that Pamela isn't hers, it's Linda. That was cool to really meet her. It also made it really easy to remember the cute ones' names, both Linda.

As I went to relieve James so that he could go home, I went through the control room to hear this Spanish girl telling everybody how she had scared James. She was changing in a storage room and really surprised him when she walked out half dressed. Sticking up for James, I looked at her and told her that I'd be scared too if she walk out on me like that! There were two other guys in there, one supervisor and one from somewhere else. He started laughing quite bit and she complained that she doesn't even know me after the surprise she felt after being cut down like that in front of her friends. It was funny. I did apologize and we talked a lot later on.

I eventually found myself across from Blue Eyes back at the exit. She let down her hair and I was extremely impressed!!! I was flirting with her through the doors. Every once in a while she would screw up and reopen the doors and we would both smile really big and laugh from across the ride. It was really cute. As the time for me to leave approached, I went to flirt one last time with her. This time she met my lustful glance with one of her one and our eyes followed each others even as I walked out backwards past the second set of doors. It was really cool, and very memorable. I went around through the service door when I was off and she was standing right there. My point was to say goodbye to her, and she made it easy. We talked for a second and then said so long for the evening. I really liked her a lot!

Well, I took the Skyride back to Congo and was really happy the entire way over. I brought my daily planner in because I wasn't paid for a couple of overtime hours last week and Alan told me that I could probably have it corrected. He said that the pink copies of the timecards are available for us to have. I quickly found the mistake and he gladly corrected the error. That was really cool, as well.

I then went up to Kumba to take a ride or two. Melissa was up in the control panel so I went up and visited her for a little while. She seemed happy to see me and we talked for a good twenty minutes. She told me how her mother set her and her roommate up on blind dates for Wednesday. She told me that she already knows her date and really doesn't want to go out with him. I asked her how soon until she's going to take me out. I then joked that she had to pay our ways. Ryan was closing supervisor and we talked about how awesome the girls at Questor are. I then put my hand on Melissa's back and told her that I meant no offense to her. Ryan helped me out by saying that it's all in the percentages! It was funny.

I then went down and rode in the very front left seat, presumably the very best. I then moved back towards the middle of the coaster for my second ride. Marcos said he always wanted to do this to a guest and went to whap me in the head as I went by. When we came in towards the platform, they were unloading the guests back into the line off of the coaster already there. I wondered what they had screwed up this time. I also was happy because I was finally going to get to ride the Kumba three times in a row, which I never had. I got out and realized that the third coaster was back hanging over the edge of the access walkways so they couldn't be unloaded. Mario, Marcos, and August were all back there but the guests didn't seem very happy so I came to the rescue. By the time they were finally released, the guests all loved me! I had the whole coaster laughing at times. It was really funny and I felt awesome that I comforted them so well. I told them once to look up at wave goodbye to the guests on the Skyride who are leaving like they are supposed to! Ryan was out there for a little bit but I would have loved for Rusty to have seen me out there.

After everyone was off of the coaster and on their way, it was time for them all to leave anyway, so I waited so I could walk out with them. Jacqueline and Melissa form merchandising were on the platform. August talked to Melissa for a second but then I took over. We walked together almost arm in arm and I was asking her if she thinks we could get her transferred over to operations so she could work with us. She really liked the idea and I wish it could somehow happen. I then walked out to Treetops with August.

Today I went with the family to Sand Key again. I laid out some of the time and am coming along darkly! Right before we left mother and Chrissy saw a large animal swim right between them and them by father. It wasn't long before we all spotted a school of about four porpoises in the water form the shore!

June 25, 1993 - Friday - Two Melissa's, Darby

My horoscope said that today will be a day to remember, and now I wonder in what way that will come true. I met two new girls, and sealed one acquaintanceship. I also talked with a lot of other girls as well, both on and off of the ride. I came in at the same time as Bridgette on the Kumba, and she coaxed me into walking over with her a few minutes early so we wouldn't be late. Good thing too, because Steve was the early supervisor. I worked the button for a couple of hours. Terri was on the control panel and we said hello. My friend Melissa was the other loader and we caught up with each other as fast as we could. We hadn't seen each other in a while. I asked her if she'd do the button for me for a second while I got water and a towel to wipe off my sweat. when I returned she showed me how to sign, `Thank you!' and, `You're welcome!' She didn't teach me, however, so that will be a little thing for us to do later.

There was a younger girl that at first was really scared of the Kumba. I did a little reassuring and she ended up loving it and kept coming back. She would keep saying hello and smiling at me from then on, and I kept returning the favor. As I took a break, I noticed that landscaping was planting a bunch of new plants at the bottom of the stairs we use to get onto the Kumba bridge. I was about ready to bitch at them to make sure they cut them enough so that I could walk through, or I'll do it myself. I noticed that there was a female landscaper, a rarity. I had seen her once before and had been surprised. She's in her early twenties and isn't attractive, but isn't ugly either. She then came into the breakroom to pee and I jokingly asked her if she had cut those bushes for us tall people yet. She thought it was funny and laughed quite a bit. I forgot what she said then, but as I walked out, she and another landscaper drove by on a Cushman and she smiled really big at me, as did I. The bushes were cut, extra high!

There was a blonde standing at turnstile when I went on break. I walked up behind her to throw something away and scared her enough by just being there to make her jump. We talked for a few seconds before I left on break. When I got back I had to relieve her and we talked a bit more. I had thought that she was pool from some other area, but it turns out that she is the new girl that I had heard about. One guy said that she's not too good looking. She looks like a country girl, and it turns out that she's a truck driving girl from Sefner. Her name is Darby. She also is extremely hyper. She was on boardwalk later and I was just leaving the control panel for lunch. I stopped to talk to her and she told me that she was starving. She asked me to eat something for her, and I told her that I had half of a ham sandwich for her when I got back from lunch. I then said that, although I was supposed to get Andy who had been at height stick for three hours, I'd try to get her a lunch.

I asked Lewanda to help me make a good impression, and she let me give Darby her lunch. I justified it by telling her I'd train Darby on height stick when she got back from lunch, and give Andy his break. Fortunately Andy thought Lewanda said that Damien was relieving him, so all blame was off of me in his mind. Good. I told Darby to come and find me on boardwalk when she got back. Andy in the meantime had bitched and John was in his place. I called Lewanda and asked her what she wanted me to do with Darby. I then suggested to still do height stick because John also needs his break. She agreed. I told Darby all of the stuff you need to know at height stick, and then we were talking. The very first thing I told her was to watch for VIPs and it wasn't long before I saw Rusty coming to ride.

We were joking around about our names. We were dubbed D&D by some woman. I then said that something she was doing was amazing, and she joked about that being her last name. I was calling her Amazing for a while. Her shirt was a bit too small on her shoulders which caused the front to scrunch a bit. All day long her breast was fully visible in a pretty silk bra. She complained that she was going back to wardrobe to get bigger shirts. We then dubbed her Darby Broad-Shoulders Amazing.

It soon started lightning pretty bad. I had just come in to complain about the trash cans being full. I volunteered to `train' Darby on a trash run, and organized the effort by taking one platform person to take her place and sending the rest on a track run. I felt so authoritative today. We didn't make it far by the time it was raining, so we stopped in at Pygmy Village. Brad, Mark and Sean were all there. Soon, August, James and Reggae were all there. We joked about this being the hangout and how we'd all be fired if Rusty came by. Brad, Darby and I were talking about the possibility of people having sex on the Skyride. On the way there she was telling that I'd be surprised at how kinky you can get with the height stick. I said that there are much more interesting things here to get kinky with. She laughed and agreed, and said that popsicles are good, too. We both laughed and I said that I hear that the strawberry ones are the best. It was funny.

Rebecca was working the bumper cars and came by in her yellow rain jacket. We all said that we were going to jump her for it. I wrestled with her for a second, and she turns and gives me a big hug, soaking me! We then met Jacqueline's best friend. She's a gorgeous ethnic named Melissa. She lives all the way out in Land o Lakes, though. She at first was only talking to Mark and August, but then she wanted to know about us. She was asking Mark if I work over here, and then stretched to read my name. We were then introduced and said hi to each other. Suddenly I knew exactly what to say and was being perfectly social. August, Melissa and I were discussing who is going to take over Busch Gardens first. I told them that I'm taking German and am going to marry that youngest daughter and they laughed. I talked to her a little one on one. She works in merchandising. She was standing next to me swaying slightly back and forth. She kept reaching up and putting her hand flatly on my arm to keep her balance. The entire time, Brad and Darby were sitting behind us on the handrail completely quiet.

Darby and I soon left back up to Kumba. When we reopened, I trained her on the unloading side and then went to do my trash run, alone.

I was also very happy to solidify my `friendship' with Jennifer down at the train station today. I walked up to her and said hello in the morning. I found out that she works the Congo Station for the entire day and told her that I would wave to her on occasion. She was glad because she gets extremely bored waiting in between trains. While I was on the boardwalk, she came up to the train's exit turnstiles and I went down to them and we talked for quite a while. I then went down and waited for her at closing. She called her office and since the last train had already passed, they went ahead and let her go. We walked out to Treetops together. I found out that she does have a boyfriend, but oh well.

June 24, 1993 - Thursday - Health fair with Terri!

It's been over ten days since I've last written in my journal. I've been working a lot of hours at Busch. My social life seems to be going a little slow, although that's mainly due to the fact that Karim and I aren't joking around like I would like for us to be. That jackass from grounds, Jason, is still hanging around her a lot. I went to park the bumper cars Tuesday night with her only to look up and see him looking in watching us. As soon as I looked, he took off. I drove along with her until Dale Mabry on the way home. She drives really fast and I told her so yesterday. It's funny how it always turns out that the women I like speed like crazy. I must like fast women.

Terri showed back up the other day. Spending my spare time with her even when she was leaving really paid off. Now we're pretty good friends and talk all of the time. She's moved into an apartment here in Tampa but drives up to Jacksonville on the weekends to see her boyfriend. I was really surprised to see her standing at the height stick that day. She said that she wanted to secure a job before moving to Ft. Meyers for good.

We both were working on Kumba on Sunday. She was on the panel for a hell of a long time. Jimmy gave me a turn a little while later and gave me a pretty long shift. He's supposed to give everybody a chance each day, but oh well. When I was done, my hands were freezing and my butt and shoulders hurt from sitting down so long. I loved telling the others that I was up there that long. The best way to stay up there is to talk to the supervisor up there. If he likes you, he'll leave you alone. Jimmy and I were playing with the cameras, zooming in on some really cool shots of the coaster. Terri came running up and said that this black guy was yelling at her after she asked him to return to the entrance, for he had cut in line. Jimmy ended up backing down and letting the guy ride. He then told Terri that sometimes you just have to back down and let things slide, because it wasn't really hurting anybody. That hurt her and pissed me off! I was very careful for the next few minutes to make it appear to each that I was fully on their sides, like I always do.

Jimmy soon left, but Terri stayed in the booth with me. She wasn't emotionally ready to face the people again. This is when we had a very deep and building conversation. We both agreed at times like this, you just want to go home and start over new and fresh tomorrow with an entirely different group of people. I felt that way when that black women was yelling at me. that time, however, Ron was on MY side. I really think what Jimmy said was uncalled for. Once you tell somebody that he has to go through the line again, it should be so, no matter what!!! When a supervisor goes over your head in that situation, it makes you look bad and feel like shit, and it let's the guy know that he can get away with what he had done. She told me, referring to what the man was saying, that incidents like this is what can make a person prejudice. I agreed and was glad to hear her say so.

After all had calmed down, we continued to talk for quite a while. She was figuring out her paycheck for the week, and mine as well. I have way over fifty hours for last week. I was telling her how I figure out overtime and taxes for my checks. It was really funny because she has 39.75 for last week and I instantly gave her an amount. She laughed and then I told her that I had the exact same check last week. She had gone to Clearwater Beach on Saturday, and had been complaining all day about her sunburn. I went with the family on Saturday to Sand Key and was burned myself. There were actually waves and Cathy and I were playing close to shore where they were breaking. We were getting thrown all around and were having a blast. There was a gorgeous girl in a hot pink tiny bikini. She looked about seventeen. She went in and we flirted a lot. She was there with her mom and little sister as well. After a while they came up to the shore as well after seeing how much fun Cathy and I were having. I kept an eye on her as each wave would pull that tiny bikini almost off. I would have jumped at any opportunity to talk to her, but one never arose.

Anyway, Terri pulled her shirt way to the side and way low to show me her burn. She wore a tiny bikini and had to show me a lot of her chest before you could see any white. We were talking about her day at the beach for a few minutes when Stephen came in. He's always been really cool to me and we'll talk and joke all of the time. He soon left. She was telling me how she had used sunscreen, and just as I was getting ready to promote my Hawaiian Tropic, she told me that she then used some of it. We then were telling each other how much we love how it smells. It was really cool. We then compared tans. Our arms are about the same, but my legs are much darker than hers. She was concerned that her shoulders were going to peel. She wants this to be her base tan for the rest of the summer. I took a chance and told her that I sometimes will reapply some Hawaiian Tropic on the burned area two days later even if you aren't going into the sun. I kind of remember it working and it makes sense because it gives back essential oils that the sun dried out of your skin.

I worked on the Mamba on Tuesday with the new guy, Michael. He didn't feel `comfortable' controlling the ride this morning so I was at the controls all day long. No big deal because I love it there. three people got sick on the ride throughout the day. The first mainly got it all over himself, and Bob was there for the second. The third was at seven thirty and I closed the ride down. I was glad that I was working efficiently, because I noticed Ron Belson watching me off through the queue. Martin had dumped water on these two girls, my age, and they were complaining. I was very sympathetic and was talking to them quite a bit. One was a very hot blonde and Bob and I were very impressed. He was the relief person. We met these two girl's from Sea World. One was huge and very ugly. The other was a very cute girl in spandex. Her name is Carrie. They kept riding over and over again. They thought I lied to them when their gondola didn't spin, but I eventually convinced them that I didn't.

We eventually got on better and better terms. Carrie has hypoglycemia, the same thing Kimmeth has. Bob asked what it was and I explained it to him. Bob finally had to go up to Python. The big girl rode while Carrie stayed by the control panel with me. We talked a lot. I first told her about Kim having hypoglycemia and we talked about her incidents a little bit. I wanted her to see that I could easily be serious. We then were talking about her going to school. She is almost eighteen and was a junior last year in high school. She had moved down and could have graduated already but the requirements down here are different. I really enjoyed talking to her. We sweetly said goodbye and Carrie said that they'd be back but I think they stayed at Python when I shut down due to the sickness.

I was sitting in the breakroom with John and a couple of others when Terri came in. She looked at me and exclaimed that my idea worked! She then pulled her shirt down at the collar again and showed me and it had indeed turned to tan. I was really glad it worked and she seemed extremely impressed that it had. She then had to explain to everybody what she was talking about.

I went over to Bumper Cars with Karim that night. When we were finished, I asked Terri where she was going and she came and walked out with me. I tried to wait for Karim but she was taking too long and Terri told me to come on. I realized once we got to the parking lot, that Karim wasn't too far behind, by herself. Bob walked with us and we were all joking around. Terri was telling us that a guy with two kids was hitting on her at Kiddie Rides. She's had a couple of other incidents and was asking Bob and I if she looks better now, or what?!? I said yes, because last year she was as ugly as sin. It was really funny and then I apologized and assured her that I was kidding.

Yesterday I worked on the Kumba again. I volunteered to park patrol and Ryan let me. I came back with two dollars and a huge bag of trash. I saw Terri and Michael going to wipe down the coaster so I called out to her. We said hello and talked for a second from across half of Kumba. She and I found out at break that there was a health fair during the day in the training rooms. We decided to go together when we got off work at two. We also asked Ryan if we could just have a break instead of lunch, and get paid an extra half hour. Ryan gave us our choice of positions and I quickly acquired the control panel. Before doing so, Ryan and the mechanics let us all ride in the front seat once. It seemed so much faster in the morning, when things are still moving slow. It was awesome! I then drove for an hour. Alan had fucked up the schedule, leaving Ryan with too few people. Ron was up there then. We were looking at this gorgeous girl in line in a navy and white striped tank top that had the most perfect breasts and no bra. She couldn't have because so much of her tits were hanging out. She was almost too good looking. Sensuous too!!! And she did see us looking at her!

Terri and I talked while we worked the front of the Kumba. Karim came in at eleven but we didn't really say anything. She asked me to stay for her when I left, and so did Ron Jones, but I was leaving with Terri. There is a short haired girl on the train who I have admired a little and have said hi to before. Her name is Jennifer and she came to work for us. Terri trained her for front unloader, we had already said hello, but she introduced us. We laughed and I told her that it was nice to meet her. We talked a little. I think Terri and I were the only two she talked to all day. She told me that MichÅ le is on a month long tour of Germany, again, and that she's going to school in Gainesville in the fall. Yes!!! That's great news! I talked to Jennifer some more later on while she was boardwalk and I was at height stick. She's been working there since February. It's cool because now I'll be able to talk to her if I see her in the park.

Terri and I went to the health fair at two. We took the breathing test and I asked Terri how good she is at blowing. I only got 80% but she had 91%. 70% and above is normal. We then took a blood pressure test. I had just run up stairs at Kumba and was a little nervous and got a pretty high reading. He took it again on the other arm and my diastolic, the important one, had dropped by ten. I told Terri that she excited me too much. The guy asked me to come back when I had finished the other tests. My blood sugar level was 86 with 70 to 140 being normal. Terri's cholesterol was 156, which is very good. There was this older woman whose was 210 and was disappointed. Her friend was surprised because she always eats health food. She exclaimed that Terri must never eat French fries when she saw her reading. A black girl in front of me got 155, and then I waited for mine. I'm glad that woman didn't see my reading of 133!!! My diastolic dropped another ten points, and the guy told me that my blood sugar and cholesterol levels are extremely good. I was glad I went. Terri and I then walked out to our cars and said our goodbyes.

June 13, 1993 - Sunday - Dayanara, Melissa

I had a fun little day, despite the tiredness of having spent most of my weekend working at Busch. I went to work yesterday morning at ten and was supposed to work on the kiddie rides until seven. I then worked the night function on the Python from eight until past midnight. Dayanara called in for the kiddie rides, and Tamica was training this new guy thus there was a shortage of people to work over there. Alan was thinking really hard, so Jan and I figured out that it would be easy for me to stay. I quickly figured out all of the details for them and hopefully impressed Jan a little. I did forget to remind them about giving breaks. I never got my third break for my regular shift, so they were going to let me work from four until ten without a break! Lewanda was gracious enough to give me a break at eight, however. I then had to be in at work this morning at seven thirty. I woke up late at 6:25, and was out of the house a mere ten minutes later.

I worked with Stephanie, Tamica, Stacie, and Dayanara this morning. It was fun being with a bunch of girls. They had this cool MTV dance CD playing on Kumba's stereo system and it sounded pretty awesome. I'd love to take my Garth Brooks CD in sometime and freak everybody out by blaring country. It'd be funny. Stephanie and I were fooling around right from the start. Ryan later told me to take everybody on break and then have everybody come back with squeegees. Stephanie and Stacie were up sitting in the air conditioned control booth and Stephanie laughed when I called her, because they essentially were already on break. When we returned, Ryan had us brush all of the water out of the queue. We were laughing that Ryan had all five of us doing a job that normally took maybe two people.

Dayanara and I kept having near misses when it came to splashing one another. She finally aimed right at my legs and soaked me down. I then returned the favor which started some serious horseplay. We were running all over the place chasing each other, and the others were laughing and telling us that this isn't the time for that. It was fun. Ryan then gave me the control panel first, while he went out to set up the queue extension poles. All hell broke loose. First, somebody got sick, and then the lift shut down as a coaster went through the breaks a bit too fast. I learned all about calling down the ride and will be able to do it easily next time.

I've noticed lately how `friendly a lot of the people in our area are to each other. Martin, Jennifer, and Daya come to the top of my mind. They always mess around like they're going out or are collectively sexually active. Even Dayanara and Jenni will go at it talking all cutesy to each other, sitting on each others' laps. It's really interesting. This was the other day at lunch. Jenni agreed that she is a slut because she has sex for pleasure, while Daya is a whore because she does it for money. Jenni the walked around the table kissing the three guys at the table and Daya on the cheek. I enjoyed that. I then decided that night that I want to get involved in this frolicking and did so today.

I waited around for Daya after talking with Clint for a second. We started talking and she asked me if I had to go to my locker in the lounge. I didn't need to, but I was definitely going to walk with her. I asked her how old she was because she was talking about how long she has been there earlier. She said seventeen, and then complained that I didn't remember from that day at Python. I'll admit that she got me there! I suddenly remembered that she is a Chamberlain graduate and asked her how graduation was. She said that it was a blast. I recalled how much fun it was sitting in that front corner seat... She laughed knowing that I was referring to me being valedictorian.

She told me that she is a trisexual, she'll try anything!!! That was really funny and it stuck out in our conversation. We walked into the lounge and I said hello to them. Tamica, Debbie, and Nicole were there. I realize how important touching is now in relationships so I put my hand on Nicole's shoulder as I said hello to her. Dayanara sat next to Tamica so I sat and talked to Nicole for a few minutes. Dayanara asked me a few minutes later if I was ready to go. I got up and then we put our arms around each other as she announced that I am her new boyfriend. I decided to test this by telling her to come along through the front door. I wanted to walk through the people, instead of the normal service road in the back. She paused for a second but I then told her to come on, and she did. As soon as we got to the door, she realized that I told her what to do and we laughed about it. I told her that I wanted to show her off and she liked that. Oh yea, I forgot to mention that she's Colombian.

We walked over to the office to check our schedules for tomorrow. We decided to go ride the Kumba once. It felt really good going so fast and smooth being so tired. I felt numb. I kind of just wanted Melissa to see me with Daya, to throw in that hint of possible jealousy. We then walked the back way together and through the storage station. There's a huge indoor room in there under the coaster storage area. She beat me to the door and held it open we both smiled really big at each other for a second. I was thinking about how fun it would be to have sex down there. I should have said something. We showed off our cars. She then told me that he's going to Tampa Bay Mall to buy some exercise clothes. I asked if she is going to model them for us, but she said no. I had a really fun time talking to her and think I more than tripled our relationship today. What could be better?!

Back to Melissa. I was at height stick when she came in, We smiled really big and said hello, reaching out our hands and holding on to one another for a second before she left. I was talking to this older man who turned out to be really interesting. He has been coming to Busch Gardens since it opened in 1959 and we were talking about all kinds of events and things that have happened at the park. We were talking about Treetops, the train station out on the veldt that they took down many years ago. I really think that they should rebuild something out there and he agrees that Busch's focus needs to be turned towards animals again for a while. We talked for a long time and swapped a lot of stories. I took a break right next to Mike Penton, Rusty's assistant, and another high up guy. I was talking to Jacqueline but she had to go back. I was facing away from them but decided to eavesdrop. They were talking about a meeting they were at and about the new things that Joe Fincher and Rusty want to do. I thought I heard something about a Skyride extension!

I later got to work with my good friend, Melissa for the last forty-five minutes as loader and unloader at the front of the coaster. We started talking right away and were having a good time. I know that she is learning sign language and was asking her about it. I just found out that Chrissy knows the alphabet the other night. melissa taught me how to sign my name. Stephanie and the lady from the photo shop, Laurie, were talking at the far end. We all talk all of the time. I looked up once and they were looking at me. I made an inquisitive look and they laughed. I don't know what they were saying about me. Anyway, I really enjoyed talking to Melissa. She seemed to be enjoying herself, too, which is really good. She really seems to enjoy talking to me. I'm glad I broke through her bitchy shell so quickly and gained her friendship. I stopped to say goodbye before I left. I asked her if she works tomorrow. She does, but she didn't' know when. We really seem to smile a lot when we're talking to each other. I don't give a damn what he others say about her.

June 10, 1993 - Thursday - Nicole!, Patrica, Laura

I just got a little phone call from someone whom I thought that I would never have the chance to make up with. It was late and I figured that the only person calling me now would be Kimmeth. It sounded like Emily for a moment, until she told me otherwise. Well, Nicole and I then went through all of the basic formalities of getting to know each other again rather quickly. She's taking six hours at USF over the summer and is living on campus. She gave me her number at the dorm, 974-8177. She said that her mother just moved to Virginia on Monday and she's really going to miss her. She told me that she figured that I still work at Busch because she saw me once `flying by' on Busch Boulevard and she couldn't get my attention because her horn didn't work. She was in a rental car because she and Ali were in an accident in the other.

She caught me up on the whereabouts of a few of her fiends from highschool. I then asked her about her trip to Europe last summer. She seemed really glad that I asked and proceeded to tell me all about it.They traveled throughout Germany, Austria, Italy, France and the Netherlands. She told me of all of the things that she and her father encountered, both good and bad. She said that they went to the red light district where the whores stand naked in the windows. She also said that they went into a porno shop where they had to videos running and she learned some new things. I bet. She was talking very girlishly through this part, as she described some of the pictures she saw. It was quite funny. Her father then called and cut our call off at half an hour, but she wants me to give her a call sometime soon.

I worked today with Clint and Paul, the lifeguard from Flume, on the python today. We had a grand old time flirting with the ladies today! My friend, Patrica, had the relief shift so I got to talk to her a lot as well. She was telling me what she's been up to and what her plans are for the rest of the week. She went on a boating excursion with her boyfriends parents yesterday and had lots of fun. I kept making these twisted little jokes that would make her laugh. She's working on Python at the night function on Saturday. She told me, and then I said that I am, too. She said that's good, because then she won't be bored! I was happy to hear that!

I was kissing some serious butt today in terms of supervisors. Steve worked with us this morning as we prepped bumper cars. He had Clint, Martin, and I squeegee the queue after he pressure washed it. After we had thoroughly dried it, he told us that we did a very good job. I then smiled and thanked him, telling him that we really appreciate it. That made him laugh. He then walked with Clint and I as we put everything back in the storage cabinet. He lit up a cigarette. I went up to him and said, just like I would to a guest, `Sir, there is no smoking under any roof here at Busch Gardens!' He laughed and agreed that I was indeed right. It was funny.

He and I were in the lounge later, and he was just putting up the new schedule. Sean was in there, and a group of mechanics were eating lunch. There were some open shifts and I asked him how I could get one. he misunderstood me and started saying to get a day off, I had to be really nice to him and have a good excuse like my parents are dragging me off to China. He was trying to be funny in front of the mechanics. I then corrected him, and they all laughed. One poked at him by saying that I made Steve feel this small and held his fingers about an inch apart. We all laughed and Steve came over and patted my back saying that I do that to him all of the time. It was funny.

We have a new assistant supervisor from Timbuktu grounds named Lewanda. I talk to her all of the time about meaningless things. She came to work on Python for a few minutes and I kept jokingly criticizing the way she was doing the spiel. Ron is also being really nice to me now. We sat at lunch today and talked for a a little while which was pretty cool. As Clint and I were walking out through the lounge at the end of the day, A lot of people were in there. Rebecca was sitting there, but I didn't say anything to her. Ronnie said hi and then Stephanie said hi in an I-haven't-seen-you-in-a-while, -where-have-you-been tone. I greeted them all back and then headed on my merry way.

I was hitting on all kinds of girls on Wednesday over at the Kumba. these two kept coming back, and one would wave to me each time. It made me smile really big once, which she really liked. When I went to height stick in the front, I kept talking to them every time. It was pretty fun. I was hitting on the gorgeous ones, too, and they seemed to like it. I was having a grand time out there. These two cute girls weren't riding, and I started our conversation by asking them why not. We then chatted for a little while. they walked up the exit a little ways when their friends were actually on the ride. They sat up on the rail, so I had to go get them off. They obliged, but then asked if they were doing anything else wrong. I said yes, that they have to come back out to the front. When they asked why, I told them that I miss them, and they thought that was really sweet. I was walking with someone later and they called out my name and waved to me from across the boardwalk and I felt special.

Ron J. came up to me a few minutes before we were scheduled off, to say hello. Suddenly about six of the girls that I have been talking to throughout the day walk up within a group of ten people. they all said hello really loudly and were calling me by name. It was funny, and maybe it impressed him. I also talked a lot to Laura throughout the day. that's really good because I want her to want to talk to me a lot when we get to Gainesville.

June 7, 1993 - Monday - Melissa, Patrica, Karim

I'm so proud of my budding little relationships with Patrica and Melissa, especially the later. I had about ten minutes left during lunch when she walked into the breakroom. We smiled from across the room as she waited to buy her lunch. She then came over and sat down right in front of me, despite us having the entire table to ourselves. She has never done that before. The rest of the room was filled with people from merchandising and food service. I smiled again and exclaimed, `Look, it's my favorite person!' She said hello and then realized what I had said. She laughed about it, pulling a lot more sarcasm out of the statement than I had put into it. I then slowly looked around and said, `... in this room!' We both started laughing and I was glad that we did. I extended my lunch slightly although I had promised Patrica who had relieved me to be on time. I had the full intentions of making it up to her on my last break. Melissa and I talked and then said goodbye when it was time for me to leave.

Patrica was tapping on her watch when I returned because I was three (or was it five!) minutes late. I made puppy eyes as she left. I felt kind of bad but then I got a tap on my shoulder and she told me, `But I humbly forgive you!' and smiled. I thanked her and told her that she had me worried there for a minute. I did only take a five minute break for my final one. She seemed very surprised, and told me to go away! I told her that I had peed and that was all I needed to do. Besides Karim had depressed me a little bit because she was being generally unattentive to me so far. She didn't say hello to me at all when she came in to the lounge at the beginning of our shifts this morning. When I did see her on the way back from my break, we talked for a few seconds, she squirted me and then we parted. Patrica told me that she'd come back at the end of her break schedule and let me make up my ten minutes if I wanted to. She's so nice.

She's been telling me about her family lately, too. She has a sister who's slightly older who is pregnant. She just found out on Saturday that she is having a boy and Patrica was very excited about that. She also has a twenty year old sister who was running around the park yesterday. I was going to ask her if her sister is cute and single, but I refrained.

I finally had the opportunity, I thought to talk to Karim at the end of the day after we parked the bumper cars. I had only seen her one other time when she walked up and squirted me good with Jason by her side. She wanted a hug and tried to give me one but I rejected her telling her how upset I was that she was ignoring me all day. I put my arm around her for a second afterwards, but that was all. I was ready to ask her out for the evening, maybe a movie, but she said that somebody was waiting for her in Vivi's so she wouldn't be walking with me to the parking lot. Damn! She asked me what I did Saturday night and I told her that I did talk on the phone. She asked me if I was going to Melbourne with that sexy girl, and I told her no (maybe a slight hint of jealousy was controlling today's actions). She said that she went straight home and went to sleep, except that her ex-boyfriend called her for a few minutes. We chased some ducks for a second and then we parted. She reminded me how depressed I'll be while she's gone all week as she left.

June 5, 1993 - Saturday - Karim, my love!, Kimmeth

I had a pretty exciting and eventful day today. Socially, it was perfect! I worked on the Kumba and started at the same time as Patrica. We were both in the lounge about fifteen minutes early, and we talked and actually showed interest in each other. She even shared her candy with me. We walked over to the control panel and Jan, one of the big supervisors, actually let us choose where we wanted to work. I took boardwalk which turned out to be really fun. High school is out and there were gorgeous girls everywhere! It was unbelievable. It's really easy to strike up a conversation out on boardwalk because you can stop and talk, unlike the platform where you have responsibilities.

I talked to my two ladies in the camera booth for a little while. She asked me once in the food shop was open yet, because she'd go and get some ice water if it was. I knew that it was, but I told her I had to go and see. I went inside and brought back three cups of ice water. The third girl was an extremely good looking girl nd I wanted to score some brownie points. I then saw this very pretty blonde working in the gift shop. She looked so unhappy. I went back and got her a cup of water, and walked up saying, `Merry Christmas!,' as I gave it to her. She smiled really big and thanked me. She has this very neat hint of a country accent in the way she speaks. I then went and talked to Ray up at the height stick for a little while.

My niceness investment worked out perfectly. The blonde, Lisa, called me back over and had a big grin on her face. She told me all about how, when she went to put the water under the counter, her money drawer sprang open and she spilled a third of the water onto the money. She was laughing about it. I told her that my getting her water worked then, because she seemed in a much better mood than before. She liked that a lot and agreed. I ended up talking to her a lot through the next four hours as I walked around on boardwalk. The cute girl in the camera shop kept smiling at me, and giggled once when a kid dropped his box of popcorn and I made an exasperated expression. It was cute.

Patrica was up on turnstile, so I kept walking up to see her as well. We kept talking and joking around. It was fun. She was showing her aggravation at the guests once, by rapping her fingernails on the lid of the garbage can once, and I acted annoyed and kept trying to make her stop. I told her I'd walk around with that noise in my head if she didn't. I ended up putting my hand on hers, holding down her fingers.

I also made a very good impression on the `ruthless bitch.' A lot of people have complained about Melissa. I agree with them from what she said to me the first few times I worked with her. As soon as I found out that she was nobody important, just another regular employee, I didn't take her seriously at all. I decided not to let her bother me in any way. Instead, I started joking around with her. I found out that her father is a German-Jew but only claims the German and is very racist. He doesn't want them to have black friends or even Spanish. Anyway, I went around talking to her today, an was extremely nice and talkative. I walked around with her when she would leave on break. I said something, to which she didn't believe, asking why I'd do that for `bitchy little me!' I joked sarcastically that I am trying to be nice to her and if she'd quit being so mean to me... She obviously liked that. When I came in later, she waved to get my attention, and smiled saying hello. It's something she doesn't do that often. I felt special.

Now for Karim. I knew that she came in at kiddie rides at eleven o'clock. When Melissa relieved me for my first break, I went straight there to see her. Bill was there, and we talked for a minute. Jacqueline was alos there, so I talked to her about Chris, that guy she was flirting with that time. I saw him Friday night, calling him by name so he'd know I didn't forget. He and I talked for a few minutes about her, and he told me that he tried to call her back, but she's been out of town. I knew then that she had to have called him first, so I brought it up. She was surprised that I knew and had been talking to him. She said that she felt guilty after she called so she told her boyfriend, which made him jealous. I laughed but respected her honesty towards him.

I then went and talked to my honey. Actually I'm her honey, as she called me all day long. She's going on Beach Week this coming week, so I won't see her for a while. She had just gone and had her nails done this morning. I was holding her hand, looking at them. She has a `earring' through one of them that is a little heart. She asked me I liked it, and I truthfully told her no. She then whined saying that it means she loves me. I quickly changed my opinion.

We really seem to touch and hang on each other more than any other girl that I have ever dated. I wondered why she doesn't have a boyfriend if she does this to every cute guy. Maybe she doesn't. There was this other guy in grounds named Jason that kept talking to her through the day, which made me jealous. I though he was pool from the Flume. I decided to get to know my opponent. It turns out that he's brand new so we were talking for a few minutes. He said that they're just throwing him around in shit jobs until they find a real one for him, either in Timbuktu or Congo. Timbuktu, please!!!

Anyway, I also came back during the last fife minutes of lunch, but stayed fifteen. Alan found a little squirt gun at lunch and was shooting water at me and soaking me. He shot some right on the front of my pants making it look like I pissed on myself. Karim had one when I went over there that she had found. She started squirting me, too. Of course I had to wrestle with her so that I could squirt her.

She asked me to do something on the ride, and I complained that she's just using me. She gave me a sad face and hugged me and said, isn't that what I want. I said of course, but there are better ways to be used. She asked me who said that they were coming? We were talking like this all day, making sexual references and talking about wanting each other. She told me once that I have pretty eyes. I jokingly told her that I know, and I have long eyelashes. She called me conceited, and then looked at them and agreed that I do. It was funny.

When I first walked over, Bill laughed about me scamming on Karim. I agreed that I am and he says he knows, for I was being pretty obvious. We laughed and then I went and talked to her. I didn't go over there during my third break, but on my fourth, I was back. Every time I leave, We both make our sad face saying how hard it's going to be until were together again. It's really funny. I promised her I'd come back when I got off at seven. After I did, I was leaning on the control panel so that we were very close, face to face. We were doing that a lot, though. We were talking again, and Jason, the new guy came up. I had just complained about my feet hurting and not wanting to drive all of the way home. She asked me where I live. When I said Town n Country, she exclaimed that she does, too!!! We then slapped each other five. This is when Jason came over. I kept the conversation going between us. She then kept asking me where in town n Country I live. As we were talking we completely ignored Jason although he kept trying to interrupt us. I noticed it the entire time, and was loving every minute of it.

She lives right over behind Publix. That's awesome!!! I thought before that she probably lives far away because she went to Tampa Catholic for high school. She kept telling me that she wanted me to work on the kiddie rides for the rest of the evening. There's a night function until ten. I complained about her trying to use me again. She kept asking me throughout our conversation. She finally asked me why I didn't want to stay and work with her! Only then did I understand that she wanted me to work WITH her, not instead of her! How sweet! I told her that I was going home to talk on the phone, however, and doubt that I would have bothered anyway. She wanted to know who I was going to talk to and I told her that it's just this girl I know who recently moved to Ft. Lauderdale. Kim mentioned about me driving over to see her once if she went with jim and Tiffany to Melbourne, and since I found out that I have Monday and Tuesday off, I thought but doubted that I'd get to go see her. I told Karim about possibly going, though.

We hung on each other a little longer, squirting each other with a little Kumba water gun. She asked me earlier if I knew of any good parties for the evening. I told her that I didn't. When I asked her what time she got off work, she told me and then asked why, in a somewhat hopeful and interested tone. It sounded like she wanted to maybe do something. maybe that's just what I wanted to here. As I left we said goodbye and I headed slowly over towards the train station. She ran to the wall and called my name. When I turned around she smiled really big and blew me a giant kiss with both hands. I blew one back and she laughed.

I waited until around ten to call Kimmeth. I kind of wasn't expecting her to be home but just wanted to be able to say that I called her back before she changed apartments. She answered and I was so glad to hear her voice. We started talking about all of the new things that have happened lately. She told me that she had promised to go to the movies in half an hour so we tried to get all of the important stuff out in time. She told that she has some good news for me. She called Stuart over in England to have a woman answer the phone. After some momentary shuffling, he answered the phone. I laughed. She then said that he got a new job and doesn't know when he'll be coming back over here! I was happy. That really cheered me up and she knew that it would.

We hung up with her having just a few minutes to get to the theater which is right around the corner. Somebody, probably Tiffany, kept telling her that it was getting closer and closer to the movie. The phone rang a couple of seconds later and I figured it to be someone who had been trying to call while I was on the phone. Surprisingly, it was her again. She said that when she realized that she still had to go withdraw money, she decided not to go and to call me back instead! Boy I was happy! We talked and joked around until eleven thirty, when I cut our conversation off because I hadn't eaten dinner yet. I still thoroughly enjoyed talking to her, and told her so. She's so wonderful!

June 1, 1993 - Tuesday - Karim, Boomsday!, Brig

I had a rather eventful four hours of work today. I was the rover for Mamba and worked with Stephen, the black, fit version of Kevin Massena. He's pretty cool and we got along as soon as I walked into the breakroom before work. Ron J., Tamica, Sandy and he were all there. Sandy works in the Congo gift shop. She has very long brown hair and a bigger yet well shaped ass. Stephen let her know a long time ago about how much he likes her ass, and we were joking about it today. She and I talked a little bit after they left. She had gone to Daytona Beach with some friends for the weekend and was itchy from her `burn,' which I couldn't quite see. She showed me then by pulling the neck of her shirt open so I could see the thin strap marks just above her breasts.

I found a mechanical problem when I first started. One set of spiders was spinning far too easily after the ride had stopped. We called a mechanic hoping they would possibly shut down the ride for a while, but also to protect the safety of the guests. When the mechanics finally did come, one realized that it was the same one that has been leaking oil. it looked to me like they tried to cut a corner and let a problem slide. I was glad that I found it and brought it to their attention, so they hopefully will fix it sooner than they would have otherwise.

Stephen and I were both being really perverted. We were considering any girl that looked doable, and were doing some serious looking at all of the cute ones. I was also flirting with any of the younger girls that came through. I really can't wait until the high schools get out for the summer in a couple of weeks and all of the older girls start coming. That's going to be fun!

This one girl came on with her sister (or friend) today. One looked about fifteen, the other sixteen. The younger one looked much cuter. She couldn't get the harness up all by herself and I asked her why she couldn't in a sarcastic voice. She said that she isn't strong enough and I told her that it's OK because she is a girl. She started calling me sexist, but her sister didn't quite believe her. I then told the younger one that her sister got the harness up. She then told me that her sister is bigger and I told her not to worry because she is more manly, too. then her sister started calling me sexists, as well. It was really funny. They would smile and call me sexist or chauvinistic as they would pass by me. Half way through the ride, however, they started being nice and would just say hello when they went by, and would smile. It was cute. When they got off, I told them not to get me wrong, because women are good for some things, but that they are too young for me to say what. They knew exactly what I meant and started bitching at me again as they left. It was really funny.

I started playing around with this girl named Karim yesterday when I relieved Tony for his lunch on bumper cars. It kind of started out in the morning when she yelled really loud, `Hi Dan!!!' as I was walking to the breakroom. It was cute. I couldn't help but smile and think how nobody ever did that back at Flume. They were all so antisocial and lazy. She was depressed because the people were being such stupid assholes all day on her ride and she was really getting upset with them. I did my best to cheer her up and had her smiling and laughing really loud by the time I had to leave. She even went as far as laughing over the microphone when I would say something funny to her. I was glad to be of service to her. I waved to her at the exit until she waved back. It was funny.

I came back later and was changing the towels in all of the ride cabinets. She was standing at the turnstile and I threw one at her. I think it startled her a little when I did. She then wouldn't give it back to me. We were having a little game of tug-of-war and were wrestling around a little. It was fun. The back of my hand pressed up against her breast once. I saw her glance down for an instant and we both kept playing around like nothing happened. It was funny.

Later on she was telling me how to do something. I looked at her and told her that a little embryo shouldn't be telling me how to do my job since I've been working here for years! It was funny. Actually I picked up the joke from Landry. This guy named Clint, sixteen, was telling Landry how to do something. He and I looked at each other and laughed and he told me to look at the little fetus telling him how to do his job. We joked around like that for a few minutes and it was really funny. I've learned how to joke around with the blacks really well, I've even picked up a little bit of the accent when I talk to them so that they understand me perfectly. It's interesting. Anyway, I asked Karim how old she is after calling her that and she wouldn't tell me. All of the girls in the front of the line clapped and told her way to go for not telling me. The guy there laughed and said that he wanted to know, too. She told me soon thereafter that she is seventeen. She also goes to Tampa Catholic. I mentioned Rebecca Sanborne and she knows her.

Karim later did something good and she graduated to the `fetus' level. She laughed and thanked me. Stephen and I were sitting in the break room today and Karim came in in street clothes. She was wearing her TC basketball jersey. I asked her what she was doing there and she said that she was picking up something she had forgotten. Stephen called her a little kid for some reason and she laughed and had to tell the entire story about last night. Stephen thought calling her an embryo was really funny and I had to tell him I took it from Landry. We joked around a little longer. She then said that she had to go see Paul to say goodbye.

She was at Mamba and she was sitting there on the stool when I went back. I started talking to her and she started gently trying to tickle me in the side. I didn't really notice because I was talking to her, but I did keep bouncing sideways when she would do it. She finally started laughing and said that I'm ticklish, and then said that she likes that. I laughed and asked her if she is ticklish and quickly found out that she is, very! She crumpled over around my arm. She then ran towards the exit giggling and I chased her down. and got her again. It was really funny. I wonder if Paul was jealous. We talked and joked around later, though. She had to leave a few minutes later and said and waved goodbye. I frowned and when she came up to me I said that the rest of the day would suck because she is leaving. I then quickly changed my mind, trying a new approach. I told her that on the other hand, I was very glad to see her at all, and she made my day. She liked that! She asked me if I'd be working this weekend and she said that she'll talk to me then when she found out that I am. I really like her, I wonder if she has a boyfriend. Ha ha.

I worked on Python yesterday and we had a really good time. I met this guy named Jason who I think went to Jesuit, too!, and he, Martin, Clint, and I were looking for all kinds of girls! We went down for rain once and I went out in the front. This really well built Spanish girl came under the shelter with me and her friend and we were talking. I suggested Questor just as Jason walked by. When he saw her he laughed and said that he was sticking around for a minute. They then pulled out a map and I got up real close between then and was pointing things out to them. My arm was right on the cute one's breasts, right through her tight little shirt! It was really interesting.

Martin also has fun flirting with the younger ones. There was this one girl who he called Psycho. She was in a tiny bikini top an had very large breasts for a girl her age. I was impressed. He told me that she got his number somehow and calls him all of the time. HE said that she sat outside of kiddie rides for two hours while he worked one time just watching him. I asked if I could hit on her. he said definitely and said that her name is Stacy. As I walked by I said, `Hello Stacy!' and smiled and then kept on going. She wanted to know if he was talking about her and sounded kind of mad. She kept asking me over and over what he was saying. I finally said that he told me that I could have her! She got up and left as soon as the coaster stopped and we didn't see her again. Darn.

Clint and I found a girl with exceptionally developed breasts for her age and size. The three of us argued for a while about how old she is. When they stopped I just asked her, and found out that she is fifteen. No big deal. They saw me again at the bumper cars and all were saying `Hello Dan!' in their sweet little voices. Karim thought it was funny. There was also a group of girls on the Mamba that contained a rather cute one. I talked to them all. The cute one told me that I have really pretty eyes as I locked her harness, and I thanked her. She told me again that I really do have pretty eyes when she left. I saw her at a couple of other rides, too.

On Sunday I worked at Pygmy Village with Brigette and Marcos, both of who are really cool. I was flirting with Brigette as much as possible despite her having a boyfriend who works in our area. We were praying for rain later on in the day. When it finally came, it seemed to be raining far too hard to safely operate the gliders and swings, so we decided to shut them down, unofficially. I know that in a park as big as Busch, it can be raining much harder in one are as in another, as it obviously was in ours. Fortunately some kid broke a latch on the pots and I called it down as a 3000 mechanical. By the time the mechanics fixed it, it was shut down for rain. It was a miracle! The three of us stood there and talked about all kinds of things. We were all soaking wet. It was a lot of fun.

It turns out that Brigette is good friends with Tina, and knows Rhonda. I told her to say hi to them for me. This little black girl had her mouth around the entire opening of a juice bottle and was sucking away. I joked that she's just practicing for the future. Brigette started laughing and hit me, saying that she was just thinking the same thing. It made me wonder what all's going on in that little girl's mind. When her ride reopened, I was leaning on the front of the control panel filling out the operation reports. I didn't see her coming, but I felt her as she squeezed her hand between my crotch and the buttons. That felt good!

I was supposed to get off at 5:30. Brigette told me she heard talk of them keeping me for a little while longer. I brought that up when I called Steve and he seemed surprised that I wanted to stay. He said he'd pay me the extra hour on next week's paycheck, trying to avoid overtime. Little did he know that I have almost forty hours this week as well, so he actually gave me .75 hours of overtime instead of .25! I asked him what I should do, and he said stay right where I was. I was glad to stand around and talk in the rain for an extra hour with a pretty girl. Marcos brought a can of Coke and split it with me in plastic cups. We had a really cool time.

When I got off at 6:30, I drove downtown to go to Boomsday! I had no idea where Bayshore Boulevard was, or is for that matter, I just followed the cars with groups of people in them. I had to walk a little but I ended up directly under the fireworks right near the barge. This guy named Shawn invited me to sit with him and his friends on their big blanket. We all laid there on the ground and watched and listened to the explosions in awe. The grand finale consisted of over two thousand noisemakers that caused the ground to vibrate because the noise was so loud!!! It was so awesome! What a boom! The whole thing was less than a tenth of Mardi Gras, but it had it's share of hot and gorgeous girls. I just hated the fact that I forgot to bring clothes, so I had to wear my undershirt and Busch Gardens shorts.
