October 15, 1992 - Thursday - Tama's room!, Melissa

What a week! It's been quite an adventure. I never got to finish my journal last Sunday because I had a much better offer come my way. Namely Tama. She hadn't called me lately, and both times I called her, she was either asleep or not there, and didn't return my calls. I started getting worried. She also didn't show up to class last Wednesday. I wondered what was up because I knew she wouldn't dump the guy who was going to save her ass in computers. But on Sunday night, she gave me a call, and asked if I wanted to come upstairs and do the assignment with her. She had been really sick last week which explains her not calling. She asked me when I wanted to come up and I told her that it really doesn't matter to me, and she loves me for being so easy going. Funny, the way I've written this makes it sound like she's using me. Anyway, I wandered up to her room at about ten. She was wearing a sweat suit and looked really cute. I met her three roommates, one who has mono, and one of their boyfriends. Some other people would come by every once in a while. One of her roommates birthday's is on November 15th. I wanted to remember that. One guy, Dan, came in and talked to us from across the hall for a while.

We studied for an hour before her roommate got back with the wine. They brought back two bottles of Sutter Home and proceeded to get drunk. I only had one glass of red wine, which wasn't that great, but was a bit enlightening. We ended up talking and messing around until about two. It was really fun. She, her roommate, Dan, and I all ended up sitting around the kitchen table talking about life. She looked so cute. Every once in a while when I'd be listening to her roommate, I'd look up to catch her gazing at me. I was being pretty witty. She at one point had to go to the bathroom, so I smiled and started clapping really slow and asked if I could watch. She thought I was cute and stuck her fingers in my hair and gently twisted it around. But she then declined my offer. But that seemed to have brought us together a bit because we'll touch each other now to emphasize things. I've never quite been in a friend relationship with a girl where se grabs a hold of my arm to make a point. I guess it was always get as close as possible but don't touch with the people I was around.

I ended up leaving at two because I had forgotten my keys and wanted to be able to get into my room without waking everybody up. At the time we were all in one of the bedrooms and when I told her I was getting ready to go, she actually got up and walked with me out to the elevator. As we walked by her bathroom, we both held the door shut so her roommate couldn't get out. It was funny. She then came out to see what we were doing or something as Tama and I walked down the hall. I turned around and noticed her so she went back into the room. She realizes how nice I'm being on my part because she knows that I definitely don't need to study for that class, and I'm only helping her for her benefit. Well actually, I'm hoping it will be for my benefit, but in a different sense. Right before I left she ended up saying something like, 'I guess I'll have to make you like me, so that you'll keep helping me.' We were both somewhat smiling at the time and I agreed with what she said. unfortunately, some guy and girl had come out at the same fucking time to use the elevator. Why the hell did they have such bad timing?!? Not that anything would have happened, but who knows. She was still a bit drunk.

I also know how her friends are, Everybody talks about everybody behind their backs. I really wonder what they said about me, good or bad. I wonder how obvious it is to her roommates that I like her. I wonder.

Tama called me on Monday and said that she'd meet me at class. I walked this time so that I wouldn't have to ride my bicycle while she walked. We only stayed in class for five minutes until Girish called for the assignments to be turned in. When I told Bryan that I'd see him later, he laughed that we were once again leaving. We walked home and it was a beautiful day. She kept saying that. There were no clouds but the air was still cool. It felt good in the sun, though. On Wednesday I called to make sure that she was going to class and then wandered over. The mid-term is tonight but she has a social problems test today that somewhat conflicted. We stayed in class the entire two hours so that she could schedule her makeup. I think Girish made her wait until the end of the class on purpose because we always leave. I didn't mind though because I got to see and talk to her. She started getting cramps half way into the class and said that her period always comes at the worst of times. At least I won't have to worry about her going and getting laid over the weekend. I joked that I was glad I was going home for the weekend so that I wouldn't have to be around her. I couldn't stand to see her bitchier than normal. I knew that wouldn't offend her though because she prides herself in being a bitch, along with her roommates, who always argue with each other. She's not bad at all though, she has my same sarcastic outlook that just makes it seem like she's bitching. I like it a lot.

On Tuesday I studied computer with a girl named Cheryl who's in my German class. I found out on Thursday that she was taking the same computer course as I and asked her if she had to take the mid-term this week. She said yes. We ended up going out with three of her friends Amanda, Debbie. Went to McDonalds, Tricia saw me with the four girls and we said hi. Post card (sand) for Debbie. We made Rice Krispy treats in Amanda's dorm. Didn't get home until midnight. Twice I've done that in the same week.

Had a hell of a time with Melissa today in German. I was early because of a Physics Quiz. She came twenty minutes early and we sat outside of class and talked. Fran‡oise seemed a bit concerned. Melissa and I are partners for the oral dialogue for our German mid-term. Wants me to call her either when I get home Sunday or I'll see her Monday.

After Stacy received my letter, gave me a phone call and we talked for over an hour. He didn't care because his mom pays for it and besides, he calls long distance on his modem all of the time anyway. Is going to give me his old modem which is great, and has a bunch of new picture files and animations for me, including pictures of Cindy Crawford. Said he'd mail me a disk.

I went and got my car today at three and filled her up with gas. Went downstairs with jon, who was returning a vacuum hose, just as Tama was walking in from her social problems test. We said hi and talked for a couple of seconds there. After I got back, I gave her a phone call. She said that the test was harder that she expected it to be. She told me to have a safe and fun trip and she hopes I get some color. I told her about losing my glasses and how it's going to be a pain driving at night. She said great, now she's going to worry whether I make it safe or not. Luckily, my wonderful roommate Jon is letting me borrow his glasses for the weekend. Thank you!

October 11, 1992 - Sunday - Spaghetti w/ Ed & Cathy

October 11, 1992 - Sunday
It's early in the new week and I'm relaxed, content, and happy. I got all of my bullshit work out of the way yesterday so this week would be off to a good start. I washed the dishes, cleaned the bathroom, shaved, and all of that fun stuff.

Ed invited Catherine out for the evening. She called when he wa sin the shower and asked me if I'd come down and let her in. She actually remembered my name. I was impressed. I went downstairs but couldn't find her so I came back up, figuring that maybe she got on the other elevator. She hadn't, so I went back down and this time saw her waiting outside the door. I waved to her through the glass and asked her if she wanted in. When she said yes I shook my head and said, 'nah.' After laughing at her a bit longer, I finally opened the door. She confessed that she had gone to Beaty West, the wrong building, which was why she wasn't down there when I first went down. As we got on the elevator, Jen from down the hall did, too, and we talked. I then asked Catherine what was up and told her that I had just been asking about her, because I hadn't heard anything about her since we were over at her dorm way back.

It was only seven-thirty when she came over, and the cheap little band that they were going to see didn't start until ten-thirty. We finished watching The Lawnmower Man, by Stephen King, and then watched Club Med. We saw an add for spaghetti and Catherine mentioned that she hadn't had any in a long time. She also really liked the Fry Daddy idea, because she missed crunchy French fries. Talking about all of that food made us hungry so Ed got up and cooked some spaghetti, and I made a big batch of tater tots. It turned out pretty good. I told Ed that I'd take care of the dishes while he was out with Catherine. While she was here, we kept talking a lot, and I kept inadvertently flirting with her.

October 8, 1992 - Thursday - I'm cute!!! German girls

Damn I feel GOOD!!! And no, I didn't get fucked either. I've had an awesome morning. I had a German test at 10:40 in fourth period. Thus my entire life has been devoted to German since early last night. I even woke up early this morning and went to language lab to complete my workbook dictations. I actually understood what they were saying! It's because this test reflects my new study habits. It's been two weeks since I began studying on a daily basis and it's really paying off. After language lab, I went to my third period Physics discussion class. I was early so I sat outside and studied, and watched all of the cute girls go by. I planned on walking in, asking when the next quiz is, and walking out. That's exactly what I did. I then went to German class to sit outside the classroom and study for an hour before class. I knew that I would get the most studying done there, without many distractions. It's actually a cool place to sit because it's on the second floor and is open to the outside. you can sit up there and look out at the trees or down at the people walking by below.

When I got there, this girl was already sitting there studying. I still don't know her name although we talk now all of the time. She's twenty-one, I think, and she's from Jacksonville. She's really good looking and has a cute Texas accent. Her mother is from Texas but she swears that her mom doesn't have an accent, and doesn't know where she got hers from. It's fun listening to her speak German. Her only flaw is that she has a boyfriend, but that is definitely no reason why we can't be friends. We studied together by comparing notes while I verbally quizzed her. The rest of the semester's test, starting with this one, are supposed to be much harder because they will be written instead of multiple choice. Actually these kinds of test are usually easier for me than the standard ones. I much better at doing something perfectly myself, rather than pick the correct one out of a bunch of wrongs.

Melissa walked up about forty minutes before class and joined us in studying. We kept making up funny sentences. it's much easier to learn German by speaking it with somebody you actually want to talk to rather than out of a book. There is this Greek dance Friday night and she asked me if my roommate was going. When I said yes she said that she was glad because she really wants people to come. She then told me that I should come. I told her that I'd think about and if I could get Chris to drive me I'd go. She then told me that she'd take me and that I really should go. I loved how she only asked me. This Taiwanese guy named Pong always sits next to Melissa when he gets the chance. He always takes my seat when I am late but I always end up butting him out anyway. I wonder if he felt like shit when Melissa was telling me to go and never even looked at him. Thank you.

Before we went into class this other girl came up who is a friend of the girl with the Texas accent. She isn't that bad looking, she's just a tad bit on the overweight side. She's really nice though and we always talk when we are near each other and get the chance. She was talking about a computer class she is taking and how she's screwed up on the assignments so far. I realized that she is in the one of the other CGS 3462 classes that I am taking. I told her that I am taking it, too. She asked me if I know what I am doing. I told her that I really know what I am doing and told her about how I took AP in high school. She then asked me if I'd help her study for the midterm sometime next week. She's the one who almost ran me over that night while I was on the way home from Farnaz's dorm. I told her that I didn't know after she tried to run me over. She then explained to me again why it happened. She told the same story but only until now did I fully understand what she had said. By this time, everyone else had gone into class and only the three of us remained outside. She told me how her friend who was in the car was pointing and saying that he's really cute and as she was trying to look to see who she was talking about. When she did, she swerved and realized that she almost hit me! What I didn't realize was that I was the guy that her friend thought was cute!!! That blew my mind! The whole story made so much more sense. She joked about how her friend thought I was really cute and then she almost ended up running me over. When she realized that she knew me she hoped I wouldn't see her after nearly running me over although I never knew the difference. It's a tremendous boost to my ego to know that girls will pick me out as being cute and tell their friends. WOW!!!!!

In class, it's also sometimes a pain in the ass keeping the two chairs open on my sides so that Fran‡oise and Melissa can sit next to me. It's because this girl, Dianne always tries to sit next to me. She's cute but she's too skinny and looks too much like the witch on the bicycle in the Wizard of Oz, only with dirty blonde hair . Then there are the guys who are looking for a cool friend who sit near me because I will talk and listen to them. I've already told one that the girls are my fist priority, but feel free to sit anywhere else near.

Anyway, the test ended up being hard, but actually was easier for me than the first two. It sure did take Melissa a long time. She's not good at this kind of test. Fran‡oise and I finished at the same time and she told me to wait so that we could walk out together. She's going back to Clearwater for a day again. This time it's to get a haircut. She said that she was thinking about getting her hair cut shoulder length. I begged and pleaded with her not do and told her that if she did, I wouldn't talk to her any longer. She told me that she'd just have to kick me that much harder in class. I told her that I'll start kicking back if she cuts her hair too short. We laughed and then parted.

Well, that's why I'm in such a damn good mood right now. I'm confident about the test, Melissa asked me to a dance, but most importantly, my ego was severely boosted by being called cute like that. It'd be really freaky if I get to study with her and actually meet her friend. That would be cool.

October 7, 1992 - Wednesday - Farnaz, Rebecca

October 7, 1992 - Wednesday
I had a pretty cool morning, in the area of meeting girls. When I first walked out the door this morning to head to Physics lecture, this tall cute black girl who lives next door was leaving at the same time. Her name is Jana. We talked from there until I had to leave to get my bicycle. She's nice and I'm glad I finally know one of my neighbors. I was wearing a Sea World T-shirt with dolphins on the front, jean shorts, and flip flops again. In other words I go to class looking like a bum nowadays. It was cool again and it's funny seeing all of these people in heavy jackets already. I'm just conditioning myself so the weather will be much easier for me to bear when it does get cold. Jana didn't really complain about my clothes, she wanted to know where my books were. I told her that I don't take them because most of my teachers don't require them to be brought to class.

I got to Physics a few minutes earlier than usual, and so did Farnaz. When first period was released, we went in and got our seats up pretty close to the front. That's our usual spot, although there's no real reason why we sit there. We were talking politics because of yesterday's rally and I was arguing my point about how Clinton will fuck up the nation if elected. We then started arguing about abortion. We weren't conflicting over pro-life and pro-choice, we were arguing about who should decide the laws on abortion in the first place. She said that women should have complete say in the matter since it deals with their bodies, and they are the ones who have to carry the baby for nine months. To be difficult, I argued that men should have most of the say in the matter because women are mentally inferior in making such emotional decisions. Besides, it deals with our bodies as well, because I don't see many women getting pregnant without first getting fucked.

At about that time, Ed's Tri Delt walked in and sat down on my other side so I turned and said hi, somewhat surprised, because I feared that she wouldn't show up. I also was worried that she might not find me because we were so close to the front. Since Ed never introduced us, I asked her name, which is Rebecca and told her mine. I actually asked Ed last night and he laughed and told me that he wasn't going to tell me. Chris was there at the time and we were talking about how I always seem to steal Ed's 'women.' It's because I know that I am better than Ed, and if a girl will talk to him, then she'll definitely talk to me. I told him that I really didn't care, I'd just ask her tomorrow morning when we sit together in Physics. So he told me that her name is Rebecca, or Becky. We talked for a few minutes before we had to shut up because of the lecture.

I found out that Rebecca got an eleven on the test which is just above average. I told her that it was good, and she wasn't completely mad about it. After class I went upstairs with Farnaz to find out what score she got on the test. I also wanted to make her feel important after I just had another girl, a Tri Delt no less, sitting next to me. She got an eight out of twenty. She was pretty depressed. Oh well. She then had her discussion class so we said goodbye.

I decided as I was walking downstairs to the bike rack to take advantage of the test score situation. There is this tall girl in lecture who is a bum like me, always in jean shorts and all. I think I've mentioned her before. Anyway, she was upstairs behind me getting her test score, too. I knew that she always parked her bike near mine, actually the reason I initially parked mine there is because she did. I also knew that she'd be coming down soon so I unlocked my bike very slowly. When I saw her, I read her face, and figured she did worse than she had expected. I have flirted with her on many occasion and she seemed slightly taken back when I asked her how she did. She only got an eight! We ended up slowly riding our bikes together all of the way to her next class. She has very pretty blue eyes which took her a few minutes before she'd let them meet mine for long periods of time.

I found out that this is her fourth year here but she still is only a Junior. She didn't really know why she did so bad. She just scored a 99% on her Calculus III exam so she's definitely not stupid. She brought up how she did all of the homework and studied all of the things she really didn't understand, but they ended up not being the things on the test. I told her how I never do the homework, I always sleep and read the paper in class, and only really studied the practice test, and made a fourteen. Oh well. I didn't find out her name yet but I definitely will. Go me for taking the initiative on something I really wanted.

I also ran into the red head, Jen, from down the hall, riding her bicycle in the opposite direction. We said hi, and then she yelled at me to get some real shoes.

October 6, 1992 - Tuesday - Bill Clinton, Tri Delt

I don't know what's gotten into me but I seem to have an abundance of things to write about in my journal lately. It usually means that things are going pretty well for me, which they definitely are.

I found out during the past couple of days that Bill Clinton and Al Gore were coming to speak here at UF. It was scheduled for this morning at nine and was to be held in the Reitz Union lawn. I pictured a decent crowd and a typical politician speech on a raised platform in the center. The University Police Department expected about ten thousand people to attend. I really wanted to go yesterday and was talking to Melissa about it, but I had Physics lab this morning from 8:30 to 10:15 which really sucked. I had thought about going to the department head yesterday morning and asking for a make up date so that I could attend, but I didn't really want to have to do my lab later.

On the way to lab I saw them setting up a huge stage in the lawn behind the Union, which is much larger. There were already tons of people packed around the stage and many more were flooding in from every which way. Kim and Debbie were at class waiting outside the door again, so I sat down and talked with them. They thought I was crazy for wearing only a T-shirt, shorts, and flip flops but it was actually warmer than yesterday. We really wanted to go see Bill Clinton but our instructor, Dave, said that it was impossible. The little faggot. He is the biggest pussy I have ever seen teaching before in my life. He really pisses me off. He told us that he was going to go ask the head if we could, so he walks out, and then comes back in and says that the guy said no. I would bet money that he just went outside and never asked. Kim and I decided to work together again.

When we were done at about 10:20 we both hurried out to try to catch a glimpse of Bill and see what else was going on. There was an ocean of people! The UPD later said that between twenty and twenty-five thousand people came to see Bill CLinton speak!!! It was amazing. I was tall enough that I could see Clinton and Gore standing way down on the stage with their wives, Hillary and Tipper. They were both in blue dresses which made it easier to pick them out. Kim couldn't see them except for the one time when she jumped. I was about ready to give her a piggy-back ride and I think she was going to let me. We ended up walking around the back through the crowds and stopped as we were getting close to the Union building. The whole sight was very impressive. The media coverage was very extensive, they had an entire section devoted solely to news cameras. There were also Secret Servicemen everywhere. If you looked up you could see them with binoculars up on the corners of the buildings. I'm sure they had every square inch of that place being covered at all times.

All of the sudden Ed pops up out of nowhere. I introduced them and we all talked for a few minutes. She then had to go to her Physics lecture class so I'm glad Ed showed up. Since we are both tall enough to see past the people, we decided to go around and work our way in straight from the back. It worked and we ended up with a really good view of all four of them on stage. Gore had been talking all of this time, and right as we got there, he introduced Clinton. He gave his typical speech but it was impressive. I am so glad that it ran late and that I made it in time to see and hear him. The whole scene reminded me of what high school students dream college will be like. Twenty-five thousand students all together attending a presidential-nominee rally. I remember getting caught up in those thoughts and thinking that, 'This IS college.' It was unbelievable. That is truly why I wanted to go. Even though I do not support Clinton in any way, I knew that this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

There were also millions of babes. He he. Ed was about ready to wander over to his fifth period class but I convinced him to stay a bit longer. As soon as the crowd began dispersing, we headed straight into the crowd. My intentions were to see and run into as many cute girls as possible, find people we know, and get as close to Clinton as possible. There is this cute girl in my Physics class who I see all of the time, but since I'm usually with Farnaz, I've never talked to her or anything. I've also noticed that she pretty much sits by herself in that class. She's one of the few cute girls in there, there are not many for a class so big. Ed also always talks about a girl in one of his classes who is a Tri Delt that he always talks to. As we were walking forward, drooling over the girls, I see the girl from my Physics class, and she looks up and goes, 'Hi Ed!' I was surprised that she turned out to be his little Sorority friend. I immediately made my presence known so that I will be able to talk to her tomorrow in Physics. What a coincidence.

She mentioned being hungry and wanting to go to the Reitz Union for something to eat. Ed, who is a big time follower, said that he was thinking the same thing. In normal circumstances I would have let them go and would have gone my own way, possibly to the last half of German, but I had too much to gain from sticking around. I told her that the restaurant in the Reitz is probably packed because of all the people had the same idea, so we decided to go to the one over in the Fitness Center. She was in a very political mood and is a strong Bush advocate. Go her! She was part of a large group of Bush supporters at the rally who all had their big Bush campaign signs with them. She was going off on all of the ways Clinton would fuck up the United States. I completely agree.

I was all for change back when Lawton Chiles ran for Governor of Florida and it didn't matter to me then that he was a Democrat. i had an open mind and was willing to accept them hoping for the better. Instead he ended up giving a bunch of false promises, and ended up majorly screwing the state of Florida. He has almost destroyed our state's education system after promising to make it a top priority. After seeing what the Democrat's mean by change, there is no way in hell I could ever see voting for Bill Clinton. If he does become president, I think a lot of voters are going to shit in their pants after they see what they've put into office.

I had mentioned to Ed earlier that the most awesome combination would be George Bush for President, and Ross Perot for Vice President. That combination would kick ass. The Tri Delt brought that same point up later and Ed and I laughed. We sat in the restaurant and talked for a little while about the entire political thing and I put in some very good points. It got to where she would talk solely to me for long periods of time. Good. It sure does seem to me that every girl friend of Ed's that he lets me meet, I try my hardest to steal. It's actually true.

Anyway, there were these little hand held campaign signs for Clinton that were passed out during the rally that said something like, 'This is Clinton country.' A Republican got a hold of one and changed it saying, 'Who misspelled county with an r?' or something like that. She thought it was really funny and wanted one of those signs. She mentioned that as we were walking over and I told her that we should have just grabbed one out of somebody's hand in the crowd. I had my hand on one in the crowd but didn't do it. I then suggested afterwards that we walk back over and will most likely find one on the ground with the rest of the trash. I was intent on being the one to find it for her. She and Ed only found folded up messy ones. I walked up through a fence to the stage and looked under the cloth where I found two nearly perfect ones and she was very grateful. That turned out very well. They then had to head to class so I said goodbye and told her that I'd see her in Physics, and that I'd see Ed later at home.

Just before that, on the walk back to the field, we walked by a group and there was Kendra, the better one, with some friends. One was Heidi from my German class. She knew the girl we were walking with. She turned to Ed and said, 'How are you?' and then said the same to our Tri Delt, and then laughed as she realized that she knew me, too, and said the same to me. It was funny. Our Tri Delt knows her from one of her classes and asked me how I knew her. I told her that we went out once and she agreed that was a good reason to know her. It's starting to get funny, the people this girl knows, that I also know. I'm also pissed off that Ed never introduced us. Oh well, that just gives me more conversation for when I see her in class. Darn.

On the way home, I ran into Melissa walking to class. She too had gone to the rally but had then gone to German half way through class. I don't know where she gets her clothes but she looked very sexy again today. She was wearing a black button up shirt, black shorts, and black panty hose. It looked really good on her. I later saw Fran‡oise outside of Matherly Hall but I didn't say hi to her because she was with some Greek friends.

I figure I'll call Tama later on tonight and ask her if she went to the rackety. If not, I have some stories to tell.

I was also on the phone with my dad on Sunday night and I referred to my dorm as home and he asked me if that's what I call it now. Yep.

October 5, 1992 - Monday - Tama's hints, Francoise

You feel like you're taking on your weight in wildcats. It's a fine time for pouncing upon spontaneous opportunities. Life takes on a more exciting hue - soul mate may be just around the corner! Focus on universal appeal. Lively Aquarian says, 'We can do almost anything we decide to do!'

What a month this is turning out to be. Those are excerpts from my horoscopes today. I really love them because they can be sort of an inspiration and self confidence booster. If it seems like my day will be good because of what my horoscope says, I will be much more inclined to take the risks that almost always roll in my favor. After the Bucs and the Gators lost this weekend, along with a few other minor tragedies, I feared that this might be an uneventful week, but I encouraged myself this morning to take full advantage of the opportunities around me, mainly the girls. I've done my best to enjoy every single one of them all day long. Wow!

I'm really excited about Tama. She's perfect, well almost. I found out that she smokes, Malboro no less, but I also found that I could quickly learn to accept that. I was going to call her before I left so that we could walk to class together but I lost my nerve. I'm so fucking afraid of seeming 'out of line,' whatever the fuck that means! I hate it when I do that. The only real reason we went to class was to turn in an assignment that was due today. While we were in there, before class, we talked to a few new people near us. There was a cute blonde who sat right behind me who I talked with. I asked her what Girish taught last Wednesday but she didn't know because she left, too! Tama and I turned our papers in and were gone before class even started. We went to the computer lab to send our programs to the grader and to get the new assignment. There was another guy in there from class who came in with us to do his entire program.

I then figured out a way to send messages from computer terminal to terminal. I sent stuff like 'Hello' and 'Kiss my ass!!!' to begin with and she thought it was funny and wanted to know how to do it. She then sent this to me -

Tama: This class is boring.
Me: so
Tama: Why don't you do something about it?

I was overcome. Definitely overcome. We then were talking and sending stuff at the same time. She laughed and said that she feels like she's in the movies. I asked her why and she said that this whole scene, a guy and a girl typing messages to each other like this, seemed like something that would happen in a movie. I really liked her comparison. We then were messing around so that she typed in:

Tama: Fuck you!
Me: when (she laughs)
Tama: Not now, I have a headache. (I laugh)
Me: Can I get you a Nuprin (she laughs again)

I was worried for a second that she was typing in that she has a boyfriend, but I really don't think she does, or I think she would have brought it up after what we were saying. We also were talking about our weekends. I'm glad now that I went to the parties so I had stuff to tell her. She was away in Jacksonville for some Sorority thing and it poured the entire time. Actually it has rained so much there recently that there are huge floods that are up to the cars' taillights in residential areas.

Anyway, she was telling me how she couldn't sleep last night and thus was up early this morning at six and made her roommate breakfast. I told her that the next time she was up, she could come down about six floors and make us breakfast. She laughed like I didn't have a chance. She also was saying how she and her roommates were going through a cleaning stage yesterday and were cleaning up everything in sight. So I told her that the next time she was in the mood to clean, she could come down about six floors and clean our room. It was funny this time because I said it the same way that I did the first time. A few minutes later she mentioned that on Friday night she was totally wasted. I couldn't resist so I told her that the next time she was wasted, she could come down about six floors and..... We both started laughing. Actually it's seven floors, but it would have been less funny if I had corrected myself.

On our walk home, I had to get my bike so she tells me that she really hates it when she has to walk with someone while they are riding a bike. Smartass! I then told her that I was about to call her before class but decided against it. She said, 'Oh, I see, so I'm the one that has to always call you, huh?' and I agreed that she was right. I told her that I was only kidding though. She said that she was still in a daze on the way to class after waking up and said that she probably wouldn't have talked much. But still! Just thinking about what we said to each other today is very stimulating. i wonder if Tama is an Aquarian. Get it?

The weather is still cool. It's a dry cold today so it is much more bearable. I wore jean shorts, a tank top, and flip flops. My roommates are Jon, Ed, and Chris. Jon and Ed just asked me what I am doing. Jon said that I am writing my award winning journal. Jon then asked if he could have my autograph now, because I'll probably never talk to them again when I'm successful. Thus I put in that sentence just for them. Anyway, I got plenty of attention for my lack of clothes. It did warm up like I figured and I got to tell lots of people that I became conditioned for the cold while working at Busch Gardens last winter.

On the way to Physics, this girl in tiny, tight, white shorts was riding her bicycle up to the racks. If that wasn't enough, when she got off, she stretched her leg back very slowly, and really high, as she got off. That was a view if I've ever seen one. YUM!!! It was a very good way to start off the morning. I then met up with Farnaz as I was walking into class and we went down and sat together near the front. This girl that I flirt with, and flirted with today, was just to our right, and there were two really cute girls in front of us. The better looking one kept turning sideways to talk to her friend, and sometimes all of the way around, and I always made a point to make sure that we made eye contact. Fun, fun. I told Farnaz how I tried to call her Friday afternoon, but she had already gone by then. We were joking around quite a bit and I walked a little ways with her after class, until I finally turned back to go get my bike.

I then had an even better time in German. I walked with Jon towards class because he has history class in Little Hall during fourth period. We were a little early which was good. There was this really cute girl standing outside who must have been late for class and was waiting to talk to the professor because she is usually in there during third. I sort of flirted with her while we were out there. She has gorgeous legs and after the rest of this mornings events, I was really horny. Maybe it has something to do with the cool weather.

I made sure that Fran‡oise and Melissa's seats were open when they came in so that we'd all be sitting together. Before Melissa came, Fran‡oise and I talked all about the weekend. She said that they went surfing because Clearwater had the highest waves she's ever seen because of the storm. She also knew a guy who's expensive house on Indian Rocks Beach had its roof torn off by that big tornado. She said that she had a really good time. She also was happy that the big bruise on her leg is looking better. She got it one night when she was drunk and ran into a fence. I told her that I would still be hiding it if I had something that ugly on me. She always kicks me in the leg while we're sitting there in class, so after she came in I went and pulled a chair in front of her for her to keep her feet on. She then said that she was bored so she was going to draw on my leg instead. I thanked her for wanting to give me bruises and ink poisoning. It was funny.

When Melissa came in I turned to her and found out what was up. When I did, Fran‡oise immediately turned and started talking to some people on her other side. She normally wouldn't talk with them, maybe it was because she knew that I was going to turn my attention to Melissa when she came in. They don't really ever talk to each other, or even listen to each other when one is talking to me. Fran‡oise said goodbye to both of us at the end of class and Melissa seemed a little surprised. We asked each other about our tests back on Thursday and then she contradicted something that I said. I then pretended to bitch at her for always contradicting me. She said that she doesn't so I told her that there she goes again! It was funny. I then asked her why I always have to pry stuff about her personal life out of her. I don't really, I was just being difficult in a sarcastic way. We laughed and were on really good terms for the rest of the class. I even had to share my book with her. She looked really cute today. Her hair was waving up and over her face, and every once in a while she'll give me one of these quite little wry smiles that are really sexy.

What a day!!! I even saw that girl today that I met and talked to at orientation. She has class right next to my German class. What a coincidence. I wonder if I'll get the chance to talk to her again. I'll have to go back and reread my journals and find out her name.

Luck to me.

October 4, 1992 - Sunday - Parties, Tama, Melissa

Well, I guess it's Sunday, the last time I looked it was still Saturday. It's after three in the morning right now. I just got through washing my clothes for the week. I figured that since I was home, and since I don't want to do them in the daytime, I'd might as well get it over with. It also is much less crowded at two in the morning. I had to hide though to make sure nobody saw me washing clothes on a Saturday night. Actually a couple of girls did see me. One was a really sexy sorority girl with a friend who were waiting for their guy fiends to come down from their room. When I went near she raised her voice and was saying something like, 'and the guys just go off and... It's like fuck us!!!' I nodded and would have. She was slouching on the bench by the elevator with her legs spread a bit. It was really something that I need to see before going to bed. I also glanced up as I was throwing my clothes in the dryers and saw a cute girl out in the hall by herself staring at me through the door. When I looked up she turned away. I'm just too cute. I'm especially too cute to be doing my clothes on a Saturday night a two by myself.

Actually, Jon and I had just gotten back from a couple of parties. Chris, Jon, and I ordered a couple of pizzas from Little Caesars. When they were delivered, the one with all of the gross toppings that they ordered only had black olives on it. Jon called up and bitched and they said that they'd bring over a correct pizza. We just had to bring the wrong one down when he came. In the meantime I ate most of the plain one, while Chris ate half of the wrong one. All three of us went downstairs to intimidate the delivery boy and it worked. They made us two new pizzas, which again were wrong but we took them anyway, and after Jon showed him that we still had the first package, he turned around and walked away with it. Thus we had four medium pizza for only $8.98! That wasn't such a bad deal. Afterwards, we went over to Mike's apartment. I wasn't going to go at first, but then I realized that I needed something to tell to all of the girls when they ask me what I did over the weekend.

I drove the three of us over. I still can't find my glasses and it was raining the entire way which was a bitch. Actually it's been raining since Thursday, constantly. It's supposedly some kind of tropical depression that the experts are comparing to the one down in Sarasota in June that dumped twenty inches of rain on them. Jon says that he remembers that one. It was probably that time at Busch Gardens when it rained forever and they almost closed the park. They also said that a tornado touched down in an trailer park in Pinellas County killing five people. They also say that they aren't sure when the rain is going to end. Supposedly it isn't going to be soon. Anyway, we got to Mike's place and hung out there for awhile. George, Salem, and Abe were also there. I had a bit of Bacardi rum and water. They didn't have any Coke and they barely had any rum.

We then drove around the corner to Oxford Manor to this girl's house for a party. There were some decent girls there. One really cute one that we met was at the party next door. They had an open keg so we were walking around their apartment looking for cups. I don't know why I keep drinking beer, I think it tastes like shit. I didn't get much, and I didn't drink much either. After a while we made our way outside and were getting ready to leave. I have a really good perception of the things that are going on around me that pertain to me. I was just standing there with the guys trying to decide where we were going when my mind picked up a conversation way up by the door. I turned and there was a girl talking about one of us (I really think it was me). She turned away quickly when I looked. We all ended up going back to Mike's apartment before Jon and i split and came back home. Chris wanted to go to the Florida Theater and I think he ended up going with Mike after everybody else crashed on the floor.

At least I have something to tell Tama on Monday, or tomorrow, whenever she calls back. We talked yesterday on the phone again, but not for long. I'm hoping that we will be able to walk over together to class on Monday. I'm definitely falling for her. She's the first girl in a long while that I have a strong physical lust for, and can still talk openly and laugh with. With Kim I seem to be almost careful about what I say as not to mess anything up or seem stupid. I just was thinking back about how I used to sit in computer class earlier this semester and dream about Tama, not ever thinking it would be a reality that we could become close. Getting her has made it seem so easy. It's still all so fucking awesome to me. It's funny. I'm good looking enough, and smart enough, that I could probably pick out and become friends with any girl I choose. If only I had the balls, but I'm starting to get them pretty quickly.

I had to brave the rain and the floods this morning as I rode my bicycle out to get my car. Actually, it felt awesome out in the rain like that. I then went and bought groceries. It's awesome when it rains because the girls we be soaking wet and look really good, and sensuous. I saw Heidi from our floor come in all drenched as I was leaving and she looked nice. We said hi. I also saw and flirted with quite a few girls at the grocery store. One was gorgeous and the way her long, white, droopy shirt clung to her breasts was very intimidating. She was shaped very nicely. A good grocery store is one that presents a wide variety of good things to eat! Heh heh.

I also had to take my Physics test Thursday night. When I told Melissa that I had the test on Thursday, she was disappointed, because she was going to ask me to come to a seminar with her that night. It was supposed to give information on all kinds of programs including the Rhodes Scholarships. I really would have liked to gone with her. I also just remembered that Fran‡oise was going back to Clearwater this weekend. I had joked that it was going to rain all weekend. This was before I knew about the depression, so I guess I was right. Poor her, no new tan. Like she really needs it, though. I want to soon fall in love with someone who will fall in love with me as well. Who knows, maybe I already have.
