October 7, 1992 - Wednesday - Farnaz, Rebecca

October 7, 1992 - Wednesday
I had a pretty cool morning, in the area of meeting girls. When I first walked out the door this morning to head to Physics lecture, this tall cute black girl who lives next door was leaving at the same time. Her name is Jana. We talked from there until I had to leave to get my bicycle. She's nice and I'm glad I finally know one of my neighbors. I was wearing a Sea World T-shirt with dolphins on the front, jean shorts, and flip flops again. In other words I go to class looking like a bum nowadays. It was cool again and it's funny seeing all of these people in heavy jackets already. I'm just conditioning myself so the weather will be much easier for me to bear when it does get cold. Jana didn't really complain about my clothes, she wanted to know where my books were. I told her that I don't take them because most of my teachers don't require them to be brought to class.

I got to Physics a few minutes earlier than usual, and so did Farnaz. When first period was released, we went in and got our seats up pretty close to the front. That's our usual spot, although there's no real reason why we sit there. We were talking politics because of yesterday's rally and I was arguing my point about how Clinton will fuck up the nation if elected. We then started arguing about abortion. We weren't conflicting over pro-life and pro-choice, we were arguing about who should decide the laws on abortion in the first place. She said that women should have complete say in the matter since it deals with their bodies, and they are the ones who have to carry the baby for nine months. To be difficult, I argued that men should have most of the say in the matter because women are mentally inferior in making such emotional decisions. Besides, it deals with our bodies as well, because I don't see many women getting pregnant without first getting fucked.

At about that time, Ed's Tri Delt walked in and sat down on my other side so I turned and said hi, somewhat surprised, because I feared that she wouldn't show up. I also was worried that she might not find me because we were so close to the front. Since Ed never introduced us, I asked her name, which is Rebecca and told her mine. I actually asked Ed last night and he laughed and told me that he wasn't going to tell me. Chris was there at the time and we were talking about how I always seem to steal Ed's 'women.' It's because I know that I am better than Ed, and if a girl will talk to him, then she'll definitely talk to me. I told him that I really didn't care, I'd just ask her tomorrow morning when we sit together in Physics. So he told me that her name is Rebecca, or Becky. We talked for a few minutes before we had to shut up because of the lecture.

I found out that Rebecca got an eleven on the test which is just above average. I told her that it was good, and she wasn't completely mad about it. After class I went upstairs with Farnaz to find out what score she got on the test. I also wanted to make her feel important after I just had another girl, a Tri Delt no less, sitting next to me. She got an eight out of twenty. She was pretty depressed. Oh well. She then had her discussion class so we said goodbye.

I decided as I was walking downstairs to the bike rack to take advantage of the test score situation. There is this tall girl in lecture who is a bum like me, always in jean shorts and all. I think I've mentioned her before. Anyway, she was upstairs behind me getting her test score, too. I knew that she always parked her bike near mine, actually the reason I initially parked mine there is because she did. I also knew that she'd be coming down soon so I unlocked my bike very slowly. When I saw her, I read her face, and figured she did worse than she had expected. I have flirted with her on many occasion and she seemed slightly taken back when I asked her how she did. She only got an eight! We ended up slowly riding our bikes together all of the way to her next class. She has very pretty blue eyes which took her a few minutes before she'd let them meet mine for long periods of time.

I found out that this is her fourth year here but she still is only a Junior. She didn't really know why she did so bad. She just scored a 99% on her Calculus III exam so she's definitely not stupid. She brought up how she did all of the homework and studied all of the things she really didn't understand, but they ended up not being the things on the test. I told her how I never do the homework, I always sleep and read the paper in class, and only really studied the practice test, and made a fourteen. Oh well. I didn't find out her name yet but I definitely will. Go me for taking the initiative on something I really wanted.

I also ran into the red head, Jen, from down the hall, riding her bicycle in the opposite direction. We said hi, and then she yelled at me to get some real shoes.
