Hey Laura! Welcome to my life! I've taken an extreme interest in a beautiful country girl named Laura LaRussa. I've talked to her every chance that I get. I'll admit that I was a little mean to her a couple of times in the beginning, but I've stopped all of that. I very much want her as a close friend in Gainesville. I joked with her the other day about how funny it is to have to come back to Tampa to meet somebody like her. Somebody in the same dorm, same class, same hometown, and same job. It amazes me.
I was awake this morning at seven and heard that Q105 was broadcasting from the corner of Dale Mabry and Waters. They were accepting bottled water donations for the residents of Des Moines, Iowa who lost all of their water due to the horrible floods in those areas lately. If you brought in two gallons, they'd give you a free T-shirt. I've always wanted one of their T-shirts, but the sites were always so inconvenient. This one was perfect and was for a good cause. I hurried and got dressed and went to Circle K and bought a 2« gallon jug of water. I went and got my extra large shirt and a couple of bumper stickers. I then went home to get ready for work. Everybody was really surprised to see a Q105 shirt on the couch when they woke up. It was funny. I know that laura lives in Brandon and I wondered if she likes country music, and if so, what the chances were that I could brag about getting the shirt if she was listening to the radio. I knew it was a really long shot, though.
I went into the lounge and talked with John and Ronnie for a few minutes. John and I were talking about how soon we're going back to Gainesville. This cute girl who works in Vivi's came in and was sitting in the lounge. Ronnie knew her and went and sat with her. I had seen and flirted with her before. After he left, I decided that I'd meet her. I figured if she talks to Ronnie, she'd love to talk to me! I saw Din the employee line window and said hi. She said hi to him too. We both though they were opened but then he closed the window. We looked at each other disappointedly and I then asked her if she thought we could convince Dave to feed us. She said yes quite eagerly and we went and pounded on the window until he did as we wished. Darby came in right then and we started talking. After I got my caffeine, I walked over and asked the girl if I could sit with her and she smiled and said yes. Darby came to my side. We all talked and then I asked what her name is. Her tag had been covered and she said, `Emily,' and showed me her tag. We then were talking about cars because she drives a Mustang, as well. I waved hello to her a couple of times throughout the day and was really glad to get to meet her.
I then walked up to Kumba. Karim was on the far side of the front, and Laura was closer. I walked up and said hello. KArim and I stretched out our arms from across the coaster as if we were hugging. Laura laughed and quickly put her arm around me, telling Karim that I am her man! Karim made a jealous face, but oh well. I said something whereas I agreed with Laura, but said that I also like Karim. Laura pouted and I quickly apologized. I then remembered and told her that her present is in my locker and she forgave me.
I bought myself a keychain Super Soaker the other day at Spencers on the way home from Sand Key. It's really cool, shooting fifteen feet fifteen times with surprising accuracy despite its small size. I used it all day to flirt at the Mamba the first day. That was the day I visited Laura in the morning for an hour at Kiddie Rides. I promised her then to get her one as a back to college present. She giggled and didn't know whether or not to believe me. I went and bought her one the other night and have it in my locker at Busch right now.
I was walking with Karim later on. We were arm in arm and she wanted to know why I was giving Laura my Super Soaker. I guess Laura had spread the word! Karim said that she wanted one. I assured her that I'm not giving Laura my Super Soaker, and she perked up. I then told her that I bought Laura one of her very one. She was crushed, poor girl. She asked me later to buy her some peanut M&Ms when she was at height stick because she was starving. I didn't buy them then because the machine was broken. I did buy her a package later in the day and she was very happy that I surprised her like that.
I was on boardwalk once and a woman came up to me and said that somebody lost something. She then handed me a one and a half foot blue giraffe from the games area. I debated whether to turn it in to Rapids or to Kumba, and then figured I'd keep it if nobody claimed it. When Laura got off work, she rode with Karim and a couple of others once on the ride. As she left I told her not to forget her blue giraffe, and she was surprised and very thankful after I gave it to her. That's good. Butt kissing is such a wonderful and rewarding sport!
