July 22, 1993 - Thursday - Shari at AI!!!, Picture

What a wonderful, beautiful woman!!! I'm growing more and more fond of that girl every chance I get to spend more time with her! She called yesterday afternoon to talk for a little while before she had to go to do her laundry. I then ended up telling my family all of those things about her that I had kept quite so far. Cathleen already knew about Cord, and she was a good little girl for not telling anybody like I asked her. Thank you! I also told them about her still being married, and Mother figured out that she had dropped out of school, but I still didn't tell her how early. They didn't take it too hard. Mother told me that it's all right as long as the kid isn't mine!

Kimmeth then gave me a call at 6:30 just to say hello and to tell me she wouldn't be coming home this weekend, so don't wait up for her. She kind of wanted me to come down today to see a Marlin's game with her and to hang out for the weekend. I told her that I really couldn't make it, unfortunately. She also found out how soon I'll be going back to Gainesville. We then talked until 8:20! I was really surprised she wanted to talk that long after we had just talked a few nights earlier. I finally starting worrying that Shar¡ might try to call so I went ahead and cut off our conversation, telling her I had to go and eat. I still was really glad to talk to her for so long. I did tell her about Shar¡, kind of. Just that I met a girl who is married and has a kid who wanted to go out. I figured it was safe leaving things at that.

Shar¡ called me a little while later to talk some more. She had cleaned her room for a while and was playing with Cord right then. She asked me why I had stayed home all day and I told her that I had really wanted to do something with her! She asked me why I hadn't said anything and I told her that I couldn't have just up and called her and she laughed and agreed. She said that she really wants to move out into a place of her own so she can give her friends her phone number.

She also told me that she wants to go back to night school to either be a nurse's assistant or maybe work with something electronic. We also had talked about what I want to be and I told her that she should go for nurse's assistant so that I can hire her when I get my practice! I asked her where she wanted to live in the long run and she said that she wants to move up North where it snows sometimes. I was turned off by that a little bit but then remembered that she is kind of a country girl and asked her how far north she meant. She said maybe North Carolina! We both then talked about traveling in that area and why we like smaller towns and stuff. I knew Mother would like that because she wants me to become a doctor in a small town (like Blue Ridge) to start off and now that idea is becoming quite attractive. Shar¡ joked about how funny it would be if we ended up working together.

She asked me what I was doing today. I told her that I wanted to go to the beach! She was surprised that I had off. I thought she worked all day but she then told me she doesn't start until four. She asked if I wanted to do something with her. We decided that she'd call in the morning so that we can go to Adventure Island. She went to file for state assisted medical insurance and daycare for Cord today. She called me after ten and I was already ready to go. I decided that it's be easiest for us to meet at the McDonalds in front of Busch Gardens. They showed up a little late, but it wasn't that bad. Amazingly, Christina volunteered to babysit Cord for Shar¡ while we went to Adventure Island together alone!!! We were so surprised that she would actually let us be alone when both she and Cord could come with us for free!

I had just finished drinking a Coke float when they pulled up. Shar¡ ran inside to go to the bathroom and I talked to Christina for a few seconds. Shar¡ told me that she hadn't been able to find a red golf shirt for her first day at Boston Chicken, so she wanted to try and call them to see if they'd let her start tomorrow instead. That would have also given us more time together. Every phone book ended up having that page ripped out of it, even the one's at Busch Gardens!!! I decided that it'd be quicker to just hurry and drive over there, so we did. We then went to Adventure Island. One of my main goals was to get our picture taken when we walked in, and fortunately the guy was still there. We put our arms around each other and smiled.

We went and rode the Caribbean Corkscrew and then went on one other corkscrew slide. The lines were kind of long and we were screwing around in them. We took a shower together when we first got there at the bottom of the stairs and joked that we could brag about this to Christina. I noticed another tattoo on her right outside ankle the other night when we were watching the movie and brought it up today. It's a skull climbing out of a hole in her leg. We were talking about getting that Mike tattoo off of her arm. It looks so much smaller now than it did in my mind when I first saw it. I remembered that Cord's middle name is Michael and told her that she can just tell people that it's her son's name! She said that she liked that and had never thought about that before.

We then went swimming half way around the Rambling Bayou. We were splashing each other and screwing around some more. It was a lot of fun. We then walked over to the employee line and I bought a Coke for us. We drank it on the way up to the flumes. We met these two little girls behind us in line who kept wanting to talk to us. They were about ten or eleven. They wanted to know about the slides and I joked that it's scarier than the Kumba. Shar¡ then told them about me working over there and all of that stuff. They told us that they kept meeting older people in the park through the day. The one the told us that they had seen us walking around earlier. We kind of looked at each other pretty weirdly. It was funny. After Shar¡ had departed, they asked our names and told me theirs.

I had to admit my not knowing how to swim when Shar¡ wanted to cliff dive. I let her go as I messed around in the five foot pool. I said hello to this girl named Jennifer today who works there in grounds. She is a really cute freckle face who I have seen before when I came with Cathy. I always thought she was really cute. I looked up Monday on the Mamba to see her standing at the exit waiting for someone. She looked a little younger then, but I asked her if she worked there anyway. We then started talking about going off to school and everything. I was glad to meet her and told her that I'd say hi the next time I was at Adventure Island. She brought up something from our other conversation today when I saw her so she definitely remembered me. That was cool. Ron Jones was making fun of me for hitting on all of the girls that day after he saw us. It was funny.

I also thought that I saw Xenia Batres little sister today because we smiled and started at each other for a few minutes. I later saw Stephanie Baker in the wave pool and said hello to her and we both asked what's up. I made sure that she saw Shar¡. It would make sense, too, because Xenia and Stephanie were good friends in high school. I also just remembered that I was unloading with Dayanara on the Kumba once on Tuesday. We were trying to be very seductive to each other, and were making it seem like each other's touch was the quest of life. It was fun. I was looking at her with my eyes the way I do when I try to make them sparkle. She stopped me and told me that I have really pretty eyes! Cool.

Anyway, Shar¡ and I went in the wave pool for a while and swam out to the deep part. We playfully dunked each other a couple of times and were also holding on to each other a lot. It was funny because we kept getting hit by rafts from all sides. We also were splashing each other. We then went to hang out and watch the volleyball games for a few minutes. By this time we were holding hands and each other quite a bit. We stopped and sat down where these two games were going on. One was all girls and the other all guys, something for each of us to watch. I was really hoping that maybe Sarah would be there but I couldn't see her.

We walked out soon afterward and went to look at our pictures. They had a yellow tint to them for some reason, but she looks gorgeous in them!!! I was really smiling only in one of them, and I let her have it. We joked that now we never have to talk to each other again since we have our own little pictures of us! I then drove her home and we kissed as she was getting out of the car. Now it's time to show off my new little picture!!!
