I spent the entire day yesterday playing around at Adventure Island. It's a pretty awesome park. I rode on practically every slide over and over again. Sunday was the first time I had ever been on any of them. I'm getting the best tan of my life, and am having a great time doing so. I stayed in the water all day and it felt so good. The girls are also exceptionally beautiful. Best of all, it's closer than the beach and I get in free.
I went down a fide called the Water Moccasin and the lifeguard sort of laughed at the way I landed in the pool. We then started talking for a good half hour or moor. His name is DJ and is a pre-med senior at USF. He's going to start doing lifeguarding seriously down North of Ft. Lauderdale in a couple of weeks to take a break from his studies. he says that he wishes he would have taken his summers off because he is really burned out. We talked about all kinds of stuff from girls to life in general. He was really cool. He mentioned that he goes to Busch Gardens after work every once in a while to hang out. He said that he was on the Python last night which would have been when I was working.
While we were standing there, this gorgeous girl in a tiny red bikini flipped in the water as she came down the slide and lost her bikini top. I didn't see anything except for her pulling it back onto her shoulders but she was really embarrassed. It was funny.
I also was flirting with some female employees of the park. One was this gorgeous ethnic girl that was on the top of the tube slides. She had her navy blue swimsuit pulled off of her shoulders very provocatively. She was a little petite, her hips were the most perfect I think I have ever seen and she had a beautiful tan. She would give me these looks around her glasses which I enjoyed. I just couldn't help but thinking that she would be wild in bed! She was so hot!!! The other girl who was sitting up there later was beautiful in a sensuous way. She had tons of tanned freckles, which I love. She also had a very pretty face. I talked to her for a few minutes and let her know that I work at Busch Gardens. I had an interesting day.
I also met this guy who worked on the Flume during my first Christmas there. He was the loud but friendly one and we used to get along well. He's a lifeguard now.
I stopped into Busch Gardens for a few minutes. I rode the Skyride back to the Kumba. I watched the animals out on the plain and had this humongous sickening feeling when I realized how much about the animals that I had forgotten, and how beautiful they looked. being corralled back in the ride section of the park, I hadn't seen them in so long. I then rode the Kumba twice. I rode in the front left seat as suggested by DJ and it was indeed fun because the Kumba turns that way the most. I chatted with everybody for a few minutes before taking off. This included Jennifer.
Today I worked on the Kiddie Rides in Pygmy Village. I also talked with Stephanie for a little while. She said that she went to see male strippers on Friday night for her 18th birthday. It was actually fun enough that the day passed on rather quickly. I prepped the Python first with Martin and we then went to the Scorpion to do a test run. While we were riding, I was amazed as I though to myself what a wonderful job I have. I was actually getting paid to ride a roller coaster. I am one of a very fortunate few in all of the world. this guy from Timbuktu who I worked with at the Rapids came up and sat with me on the ride.
A new crush sparked within me on the walk to my car this evening. There is this girl name Laura who is pretty cute. I saw her coming in from orientation on about my third day of work, and remember being impressed. While on the subject, I flirted with an awesome looking girl who was coming in for orientation at the guard station this morning. Anyway, I found out later that she goes to UF and will be living in Beaty West next year. What better than a girl who works with you for part of the year, and lives next door to you the rest of the year? Last year was her first year as well. She came in at lunch at sat right next to me to my left. I remember seeing her pause, waiting for me to accept her or not. I didn't pay much attention to her then because I had to go back to work a few minutes later.
We ended up sitting on opposite ends of the table during a break later on. There are only a couple of people that I don't talk to yet among the many in Congo. I started joking around and talking to one right then. That was cool. I'm so social now. Anyway, they all left until it was only Luara, Tony, and this fat redhead whom I had trained with. Tony and Laura were still both at the far end of the table but she and I were facing each other. We suddenly had a quiet spell. Nobody was saying a word and the room was quite. I looked at Laura and smiled putting my finger up to my mouth and said, `Shhhh,' kind of quietly. She played along and did the same back to me, with a big grin on her face. This guy from grounds suddenly says to all of us that we are a bunch of weirdos for being so quiet. She and I looked at each other and started cracking up. It was hilarious. I was very glad to have helped make her laugh, because that's a very important part of starting a relationship. I then led the discussion for the group until we had to leave, something I usually never do.
I saw her walking to her car and driving off, and that's when everything clicked, and I fell in lust.
I actually had a lot of fun with the kids today. Most of them were British and on holiday with their parents, who are also a blast to talk to. I love the accent on girls. I went up to this one little girl, about eight, and told her that I'm sorry but she can't ride. When she sadly looked up, asking why, I said because she has red hair. She wittily told me that her hair isn't red, it's ginger! It was very funny and we argued for a while about it. She finally told me that her teacher at school said that only one person had ginger hair in the class. I agreed but said that it wasn't her, it was somebody else. It was really funny. She has `baby blue' eyes as she put it when I asked her. She kept smiling at me through the whole ride. Afterwards she went and asked her mother and then came back and said that she doesn't have red hair. I told her matter of factly that I know, because she has ginger hair. She smiled and walked off, and that was the very cute end of that.
The little kids really seem to love me. I can make them laugh and talk and have a lot of fun doing so. I always take interest in what they have to say. I told one cute little girl that she was too tall and she almost started crying. She was barely over the line so I let her ride, putting her in a high seat. I then begged her to forgive me until she was laughing. She had the best time on that ride out of all of the little kids. She later told me that she was only three! We kept talking for quite a while and I ran the rides according to what she wanted to ride. It was cute. I also figured out a way to keep the kids happy, give the parents a break, and keep myself from having to run around so much. If everybody is happy, let the ride go for a couple of cycles instead of one. It's a really nice idea.
I also love flirting with the younger mothers. They will tell me that the husbands are off on the Kumba or something like that. We will then start talking. Eventually when the husband comes back, I will joke with the wife about something we were talking about earlier and make her start laughing in front of her husband. I love it when they don't know how to react, it's really funny!
The highlight of my day came when I finally got to use my German skills. There was this really pretty little girl about seven or eight. She seemed a little shy. I then heard her mother tell her something and I realized that she was speaking German! the little girl didn't understand and yelled, `Was!' really loud. I thought it was so cute!!! I've always had this doubt in what they were teaching us at UF. I wondered if the phrases they teach us are really used by real everyday Germans. As she got onto the pygmy pots, I said, `Guten Tag!' and smiled. She gave me the cutest face and then said `Guten Tag!' back to me in the cutest little voice I was so happy! I then asked her if she is German, `Bist du Deutsch?' and she said yes. It was so cute!!! When she was leaving I said, `Auf wiedersehen!' and she said it back! My heart melted! It was amazing.
I bragged to this girl later about my little conversation, saying that I finally used something I had learned at UF in real life. She thought it was really cute as well. I really think they should pair third semester German students with young children like that, because they are about our speed. They now about the same vocabulary if not much more, but are still slow enough that we could understand and learn greatly by speaking with them.
As I sat in my car getting ready to leave, the short haired blonde walked in front of my car. She smiled really big and said, `Bye Dan!' I liked the fact that she remembered me and really want to talk to her some more.
