May 26, 1993 - Wednesday - Jenni Wooster, Gwynn

I had a somewhat interesting day today at work. I got there a little bit early so I went and hung out in the break room for a while. I said good morning to Patrica on the walk over. She and Stephanie walked in a little while later. Stephanie scrunched my shoulder with her fingers to say hello as she walked by from behind. She told me that Alan's baby had died Friday night. She said that he actually came to work today and was working rather blankly. I recalled how I didn't want to say anything immediately when I first got back because I hadn't been there in so long. I knew Chris had a lot of complications and I didn't want to hurt Alan if he had died. Stephanie remembered and thought it was weird that she and I were just talking about that a few days ago. Poor Alan.

He was in the breakroom at lunch and sat with Nicole and I and Jimmy came in soon afterwards. Alan was trying to joke around but we were a little edgy because we knew how he was probably feeling inside. It was sad.

I talked quite a bit with Jennifer today. I left just before she did for break once. I walked very slowly and she soon bounced up right alongside me and we started talking. She's really cute. She looks so much different, much sexier, with her new tan. She looks really good. We were talking a lot about that. She bought a can of Coke, but she usually doesn't drink it all. She said that her mother said it will make her teeth brown if you drink too much. I argued that the acid will actually whiten your teeth and help you digest your food later. I also told her that there is something in Coke that causes kidney stones that isn't in Pepsi. She wondered why I knew all that. I was kind of hoping she'd offer some to me.

Ron B. was talking to Nilsa on the phone for a few minutes. She bumped my head with the Kumba harness the other day. I jokingly told her not to hit me. She laughed and apologized while she rubbed my head. It was really cute. Jenni then got on the phone. It was time for us to go so I made her get off the phone. She offered me so Coke on the way back. She said she didn't want anymore but I gave it back anyway. I find it to be the ultimate in acceptance if somebody eats or drinks after you. She did. She then stopped to talk to the guys at the height stick so I took her by the shoulders and helped her along. We ended up taking a twenty-five minute break but nobody cares.

I went to the Festhaus for lunch today and ended up right behind this gorgeous blonde who works in merchandising. She has very long hair that is really pretty. She was there with some of her friends. I flirted with her from the Python entrance one morning, and she did keep looking. Her name is Gwynn. Her friend only had half of a dill pickle on her plate and was getting a Coke. I jokingly asked her if that was going to be her entire lunch. They both thought it was really funny and then told me that they were going to split the sandwich on Gwynn's plate. She and I talked for a few seconds before we parted. It was interesting. She is one of the last girls who I have seen and wanted to talk to, and have then ended up doing so. Go me.

I did some pretty serious flirting towards the end of the day. There were all kinds of cute girls running around and I was talking to most of them. There were a couple that flirted back very hard. I was happy. I love watching the people in the Kumba as it rolls past. the girls always smile and say hi because I look friendly and am doing the same. It's fun. I ended up finding $1.99 in change during the end of the day track run!
