June 21, 1994 - Tuesday - Erin can make ME happy!
All kinds of things went wrong with our little coaster at work
today. It was actually quite a bit of fun and a nice change of pace.
First of all the mechanics told us that it would be "impossible" to
run more than one coaster today because they have found small cracks
in the bases of the seats on the coaster that need to be welded back
together. Thus an extremely long and slow moving line formed. I was
allowed to run the panel after spending my first two hours at the
height stick. As soon as I started we shut down for weather. As soon
as the storm had passed the real problems began.
We dispatched the coaster for a test run and it stopped at the
top of the lift and we noticed that the lights indicated that the
block breaks were occupied. that was impossible with only one coaster
so we figured the rain had fucked up the sensors and called the
mechanics. They had a hell of a time finally coaxing the thing down
and one kept mumbling something about clearing the ghost train out of
the breaks. the lights suddenly just disappeared and everything
started working again until they tried to bring the coaster into the
queue house. I joked that they had to dispatch the ghost train first
and it turns out that the computer actually did think there was a
coaster in there. The mechanic couldn't explain why since the sensors
are magnetic and metal must be touching them for the computer to
receive a signal. I did find out that if we stuck a small piece of
magnet on one of the sensors, it would shut down the ride for a long
time before the mechanics would ever figure out what the hell was
going on!!!
They finally got the thing running. I was later sent out to the
queue houses to do a time study and to explain to any irate guests
why the line takes so long and to generally keep everybody happy.
Erin and Erin came back and it was my time for break so I was told to
take Wilcox out to do what I was supposed to. I told her she has to
keep everybody happy and she complained that she doesn't know how. I
told her that I can tell her some ways to keep them happy and that
was pretty funny. I ended up taking her place when I came back and
she did boardwalk so we just hung out a lot and talked and horsed
around. I told her later when she left that she needs to call me and
she said that she knows.
I was pleasantly surprised this morning when Shannon who was
doing boardwalk hung out with me and talked to me for quite a while.
For some reason that always cheers me up. It started sprinkling when
we were out there and I discovered a new turn on for me. The rain was
making small dots all over Shannon's shirt and they contoured her
chest perfectly and I loved it! I was later talking to Lisa who had
brought in some pictures of her wedding in a little album. I joked
with Steve that I wanted to see the pictures of the honeymoon and he
strongly agreed. I went down and asked her where those pictures were
and she laughed and told me that she has something better, video!!!
That was funny and I asked her how soon we get to see it but she
laughed and said not any time soon!
I also said hello to Kerry and Lisa in the Roar Store and got my
big excited hello from Yvette. I got to do a little ass kissing in a
way because as I walked into the panel once, Ryan asked me if I could
stay any later. Both Jimmy and Jan were in there and I answered
quickly that I would and he seemed surprised that I wanted to so
readily. He then asked how late I could stay and I told him whenever
he wants. He laughed and said that's the kind of thing he likes to
hear! and this was right in front of Jan! Cool.
What sucks is that I was there all day long and have no real
exciting stories about any female guests. Of course I saw a lot of
good looking ones, but no one special. What a wasted day...

June 20, 1994 - Monday - Bullshit works with Erin
Welcome back to work!!! It felt so good to be working again
around so many beautiful woman that I barely had to look at my watch
all day long. I arrived a little bit early and was allowed to park
patrol by Jimmy. I wasn't too surprised since I always get my way.
Steve Crump was in there and wanted to know why we always want to
park patrol and then said he wanted ten percent. I told him
truthfully that we don't find very much any more. I went and hung out
in the control panel for a few minutes and talked to Lisa about my
vacation and her wedding on the Kumba. I was looking frantically for
a wallet that was lost yesterday by a guest but I never found it and
later told August that since I didn't find it, probably nobody will
because I was very thorough.
I called the rear unloading position after break and there ended
up being four guys on the platform and we were hitting on every girl
that dared enter the queue house. We were guessing their ages and
then asking them to see who was right. There was a gorgeous one that
I had to ask once and she just smiled and walked away. I think she
didn't hear me because I am often soft spoken but of course the guys
didn't see it that way. Besides, I don't like hitting on girls like
that anyway. I am much more comfortable doing things my way which I
fortunately had the opportunity to do later. the girls seem to like
my way a lot better as well. I guess they do have an advantage if
they hit on every girl because some are bound to say yes and be
friendly but that's really not important to me.
I eventually got to do the panel and talked for a while with
Nilsa and Brian, mostly about how everybody on the ride gossips all
of the time. We then did some mean gossiping about Ronnie, but hell,
it's all true! At lunch I sat with August and James. A girl from
Tidal Wave who knows August sat with us and she looked really pretty
when she let her hair down. We all joked around with her which was
fun. There was this hispanic girl from food service who used the
telephone and was then talking to us. For some reason I felt really
confident with her and was hitting on her in front of everybody. I
kept asking her questions which the guys would then back me up on,
but she talked directly at me. She also was looking right into my
eyes with her big brown ones and I returned the extremely lustful
stare. I swore she wanted to fuck me right there on the table in
front of everybody!
As I was walking out the door I ran into Yvette and we were both
in an extremely talkative mood. She suddenly remembered that I had
been on vacation and asked how it was. She was then telling me about
the tickets she and her brother have gotten and how I should
seriously consider driving school. We joked around a little bit and I
left her feeling very happy for some reason. I guess some of that
energy she always claims and seems to have rubbed off.
I went to height stick for the last two hours and was trying to
flirt with a lot of girls. I succeeded with some good ones. One was a
country girl who was rather attractive and we were talking quite a
bit each time she came by until I had to leave. I wanted to walk
around with her after I got off but they were right in the middle of
the line and I didn't want to wait and I am glad I didn't because
things worked well with Erin. Fifteen minutes before that though,
Kristen walked up while I was talking to some woman and gave me a big
hug and an excited look since I am finally back. She showed me her
arm and she had broken it!!! Poor thing. She had a blue and orange
cast on though, Gator colors. We talked until she had to go check in.
Then I saw Erin walking up the handicap ramp and she saw me. We
both smiled really big at each other. She looked a little bit more
tan from her vacation to the keys but not to much. She stopped to say
hello and I asked her how it was. She had a lot of fun. She then went
and found out she had to do boardwalk so she was soon back talking to
me. She told me how some lesbians had hit on her which was pretty
funny. She finally decided to go run around boardwalk real quick and
I gave her puppy eyes and asked why she was leaving me. She smiled
and said she'll be back real soon. By then I was off but I hung out
and talked to her for a few minutes.
She told me that she is deaf because her father always made her
sit next to the engine of the boat when they went out. She then asked
me when I am going to Adventure Island! I figured she'd forget about
it and I wasn't going to seem to eager and ask just yet. It felt
fucking awesome to be pursued, if only a tiny bit. I then told her
all of the days that I work late and want to go in the morning. She
said she doesn't know if she works tomorrow but if she does we'll
compare our schedules, or she'll call me at work.
She joked that she'll ask for Dan and say it's an emergency. I
then remembered and asked why she left that day before her vacation.
She said her house had been broken into and was saying how she'll
soon get to go reclaim stolen goods through the insurance company.
She's excited about the jewelry part. Little dork Mike, whom they
call Doogie Howser, was there at height stick and kept being
perverted and butting into our conversation. I asked Erin to come
walk with me out and she did. I noticed the cute girl in the photo
shop looking at the two of us talking and laughed to myself.
Erin had her hair down and I said it doesn't seem much shorter
to me since she cut it. She said that everybody else has noticed and
I said that I never really had the chance to see it down before she
cut it. I then told her that I like it down and she smiled like she
really enjoyed the compliment enough to make me blush a little bit.
She also told me that she had called in yesterday because they
decided to stay an extra day down there. I had been waiting for that
moment to use the bullshit I had planned yesterday, and told her how
I had come in to see her but she wasn't there and I was really upset.
She played along and said that I should be and we laughed together. I
told her that it just ruined my day. It was really funny and worked
perfectly! We then said goodbye as it was time to part.

June 19, 1994 - Sunday - Shari's birthday ticket!
I once again know what it feels like to be broke. The unexpected
downfall in my finances came last night on the drive home from Geogia
near the city of Forsyth. I came over a hill a saw a new red Crown
Victoria turning around in the median. As I started at the idiot
turning around on the interstate I started in horror into the glasses
of a Monroe county sheriff officer in an unmarked car. He pulled up
and I was already way slowed down. He came up on my ass anyway and
tuned on his lights and pulled me over, citing me with eighty-four
miles per hour in a fifty-five zone!!! FUCK!!!!! My first God damn
speeding ticket. SHIT!!!
On Shar¡'s birthday, no less. It's probably the cunt's fault
anyway.
I have that to look forward to paying. I went with Chrissy today
to Busch Gardens and then to Circuit City to buy a stereo like I've
been waiting so long to do. Mother kept bitching that I had to wait
until I got home. The model I wanted and loved so badly, and that was
supposedly their best seller was discontinued within a period of two
weeks! Shit again! I tried another Circuit City and got the same
reply. I finally used my last resort and headed into Tampa Bay Mall
and bought a more expensive Panasonic that I had seen earlier. It's
really nice and I like it a lot now especially because this one has a
remote control which the others didn't. It ended up costing just
under four hundred dollars!!!
We had fun at Busch Gardens at least. We looked first at Myombe
Reserve and were near a family from Ireland with awesome accents.
There were two young daughters and I loved it. We then rode the
Questor and there was absolutely nobody in line which was surprising
for a Sunday.

June 9, 1994 - Thursday - I get Erin for half off!
Today actually went pretty well. I didn't have to be at work
until after two so I arrived at Adventure Island just as it opened at
nine in the morning. I ran to my chairs in front of the wave pool and
started reading Stephen King's The Dark Half some more. I finished
off the second hundred pages today before rolling over to get some
sun on my back for a little while. There was a group of fifteen young
girls on one side of me and I had a nice time looking at them every
once in a while. I left in time to shower and change and then have
lunch at Burger King before going to work.
I came across Briana and Jamey doing a trash run and Jamey said
they were just talking about how he and I finished an entire run in
twenty-five minutes the other day and Nilsa had given them well over
an hour and a half!!! I then walked up to the platform and got a big
welcome hug from Jennifer and a brief story about her newest
boyfriend, a guy who works at Food Lion and Jiffy Lube. I then went
upstairs and got ragged on because of the hug. Erin worked the same
shift as I did and she soon came in to the panel. She joked about
going home right then because we had too many people and we laughed
as I said it was nice of her to drop by.
I headed out to the height stick and Erin went to the button
where I could see her by simply turning around. I was also flirting
quite a bit with the girls in the photo booth. I called Latina once
because I saw her standing with Erin and we started talking. She said
she was being a pimp and I asked her how much Erin costs. Erin said
to ask me something but she answered me instead. She said it would be
a hundred dollars an hour and I said ok, but she then said I get half
price so I ordered her for eight hours. We had a pretty good laugh
and I know a lot of the conversation got to Erin. Chris Hunte soon
joined in on my side as well.
I told a woman once that her little girl couldn't sit on the
wall. As she went to take her off, she sat her cup on the wall and
then knocked it over spilling it all over the ground. I told her they
would refill it at the stand but she said she was more worried about
the mess she made than getting any more. I left it at that until I
finally had the new guy stand there for me while I surprised her by
taking her container and having the food booth refill it with Diet
Coke for her. It felt really good to do something so nice.

June 8, 1994 - Wednesday - Krishna rides her horse!
Hairy Krishna! Hairy Krishna!
It was just another sorry ass half day at work again and I'm
getting rather sick of it. I so much would rather work a full shift
and get my hours over with in as few days as possible. Oh well. It
took a little bit of effort to wake up this morning, and I topped it
all off by spilling a bunch of my corn flakes all over myself.
Optimism won out though as I figured that meant I'd have a better day
at work since my luck at home wasn't any good. I then heard a story
on the Power Pig about all of the religious sects who are saying that
tomorrow is the end of the world where all evil will get plucked out
of the world at once. Great, what a way to end the week.
I walked into the Congo office and was relieved as Melissa was
sitting in the chair. She's a lot less strict sometimes and I didn't
shave or anything. She asked me what I wanted to do and I said park
patrol, of course. I then hung out for a few minutes and talked with
her. She told me that she's leaving me and I wondered why she was
making such a big deal out of it. I played along and then found out
that she meant she's transferring and I acted depressed. She's making
assistant unit supervisor maybe up at Questor or guest relations.
Everybody thought the news was wonderful as they found out later on.
I went and did my track run and only found about a dollar. It's
really not worth it anymore getting all sweaty and dirty when there's
not nearly as much stuff in the track as there use to be. It's the
landscapers [snip] faults because they get everything now before we
do. I got pissed as I saw two guys who should have been working just
looking for money in the bushes. I'm paid to fuck around, they're
paid for manual labor and shouldn't be doing that.
I joked around with Lisa who is getting married on Friday
possibly on the Kumba. I was also joking around with Latina and later
on I talked a while with Shannon when she came in. I then headed out
to boardwalk and started to have fun. There were two of us out there
and virtually no trash anywhere. I saw my other Lisa in the Roar
Store and was glad to have someone to rescue me from the boredom. We
started talking about her hair which she liked when it was longer and
I was trying to boost her morale about it which she seemed to
appreciate. We also talked about high school. She went to private
Catholic school all of her life but finished up at Chamberlain.
I kept going back and visiting her every once in a while for as
long as I could. We started talking about single people and I
mentioned that there are no single girls up at the Kumba. She said
that there is a new young girl who is short but really attractive who
works this Friday and I acted excited about that. She was telling me
a little bit about this gorgeous darker Spanish girl named Krishna
whom I have seen since I started but have really slacked in never
talking to her. I did say hi to her a couple of times with Chris
Hunte by my side yesterday but that was the first time. Speaking of
Chris, he told me this morning that [snip], but I am still not sure of the validity of what he said, but my hopes are high!!!
Lisa said something about how she was single for a long time
without dating. I joked that wouldn't have helped us because we were
little kids then probably. I said that since she a little older, but
not really that much. She corrected me that it was just recently. She
was also telling me about how she and her boyfriend dated when they
were younger. She was thirteen when he was sixteen which
automatically tells me a lot about him. She said that she was really
cute back then, and I told her that she still is even with short hair
and she really liked that. She was also standing on a box behind her
register so she could be as tall as me and I thought that was funny.
I got paged up to the control panel and was relieved as I got
the control panel. Actually I complained to Melissa that I didn't
want it since I was having fun out on boardwalk. We talked for a few
minutes and then she asked me where I am going for lunch. I didn't
know so she offered that we could go to the Festhaus together and we
soon left. She called Shannon up to replace me and I told her we were
going to dinner. Shannon came up to me later and grabbed my arm and
joked as she said that she thought I didn't like Melissa and then
hinted that Melissa and I were doing other things than just eating
while we were gone. It was funny. melissa and I sat opposite of mike
and the two new guys. I had a huge roast beef sandwich on Cuban bread
with mushroom gravy everywhere. I also had a huge plate of rice
covered with black eyed peas. It was really good and I was stuffed. I
saw and talked to Rebecca Sanborne for a few minutes before we
finally left much later than I should have.
Lisa was on boardwalk then but she was going home right as I got
back and I took over for her which was cool. I was looking at these
two gorgeous girls in line and Lisa was laughing that I'm worse than
any of them so I complained that all of the girls that work here are
getting married and she snickered. I went back to the Roar Store to
hang out with Lisa some more. I asked her once if she knows Karen and
she said yes and we talked about her for a few minutes. It was
getting close to twelve thirty when she would get her only break for
the day given by Krishna. She had said that Krishna came in an hour
early by mistake and was then running late. She then let me buy a
buffalo nickel from her that some guy had spent and I was pretty
happy because that is my first. Two of her big supervisors walked up
then and I had to take off for a few minutes although I joked with
them for a second and laughed with them.
I was then walking around with August out on the boardwalk when
Krishna walked by. I smiled and said hi as she passed and August was
impressed after he asked if I know her or just said hi and I said the
later. I soon decided that there was no better time than then to
start talking to Krishna so I went over with a moth in my stomach
(not butterflies, just a tiny bit of nervousness since first
impressions mean the world). I asked her if they finally let Lisa
leave and she laughed and said yes. She then started complaining
about the weather which is a typical beginning and I said it didn't
bother me. She laughed that neither the heat nor the rain bothers me
and I realized that she had noticed me yesterday. Cool!
We started talking to briefly get to know one another. I laughed
to myself at how routine this conversation has become. I asked her
how long she has worked here and liked how she asked me the same
question back. I then told her I only work summers and she asked
where I go to school and what I am trying to be. I would have
volunteered the pre med stuff anyway but I was flabbergasted (he he!)
that she was taking an interest in the conversation. I am so used to
leading the conversation myself but she was helping out and I liked
it a lot! Only now am I starting to realize what all she was doing

of Waters. I then asked her how she gets to work and she laughed and
looked at me like I'm crazy as she said she rides her horse!!!

corrected my question and found out she goes down Waters to Armenia
and then Busch. She also found it funny that my house is further away
than hers is from the park.
I didn't let her live the horse joke down and we laughed a lot
about it until I had to leave. Even then she asked if I'd carry her
horse out some water because it is hot and I asked her which one it
is since there is a whole row of horses in the parking lot and she
laughed pretty hard.
We also talked about Chris' party on Friday and she asked me if
I am going. She said she is since she has no other plans. She
remembered that I was there last time which was cool. We also talked
about her friend Dianne who looked like she had a lot of fun that

It was just another sorry ass half day at work again and I'm
getting rather sick of it. I so much would rather work a full shift

Optimism won out though as I figured that meant I'd have a better day
at work since my luck at home wasn't any good. I then heard a story
on the Power Pig about all of the religious sects who are saying that
tomorrow is the end of the world where all evil will get plucked out
of the world at once. Great, what a way to end the week.
I walked into the Congo office and was relieved as Melissa was
sitting in the chair. She's a lot less strict sometimes and I didn't
shave or anything. She asked me what I wanted to do and I said park
patrol, of course. I then hung out for a few minutes and talked with
her. She told me that she's leaving me and I wondered why she was
making such a big deal out of it. I played along and then found out
that she meant she's transferring and I acted depressed. She's making
assistant unit supervisor maybe up at Questor or guest relations.
Everybody thought the news was wonderful as they found out later on.
I went and did my track run and only found about a dollar. It's
really not worth it anymore getting all sweaty and dirty when there's
not nearly as much stuff in the track as there use to be. It's the
landscapers [snip] faults because they get everything now before we
do. I got pissed as I saw two guys who should have been working just
looking for money in the bushes. I'm paid to fuck around, they're
paid for manual labor and shouldn't be doing that.
I joked around with Lisa who is getting married on Friday
possibly on the Kumba. I was also joking around with Latina and later
on I talked a while with Shannon when she came in. I then headed out
to boardwalk and started to have fun. There were two of us out there
and virtually no trash anywhere. I saw my other Lisa in the Roar
Store and was glad to have someone to rescue me from the boredom. We
started talking about her hair which she liked when it was longer and
I was trying to boost her morale about it which she seemed to
appreciate. We also talked about high school. She went to private
Catholic school all of her life but finished up at Chamberlain.
I kept going back and visiting her every once in a while for as
long as I could. We started talking about single people and I
mentioned that there are no single girls up at the Kumba. She said
that there is a new young girl who is short but really attractive who
works this Friday and I acted excited about that. She was telling me
a little bit about this gorgeous darker Spanish girl named Krishna
whom I have seen since I started but have really slacked in never
talking to her. I did say hi to her a couple of times with Chris
Hunte by my side yesterday but that was the first time. Speaking of
Chris, he told me this morning that [snip], but I am still not sure of the validity of what he said, but my hopes are high!!!
Lisa said something about how she was single for a long time
without dating. I joked that wouldn't have helped us because we were
little kids then probably. I said that since she a little older, but
not really that much. She corrected me that it was just recently. She
was also telling me about how she and her boyfriend dated when they
were younger. She was thirteen when he was sixteen which
automatically tells me a lot about him. She said that she was really
cute back then, and I told her that she still is even with short hair
and she really liked that. She was also standing on a box behind her
register so she could be as tall as me and I thought that was funny.
I got paged up to the control panel and was relieved as I got
the control panel. Actually I complained to Melissa that I didn't
want it since I was having fun out on boardwalk. We talked for a few
minutes and then she asked me where I am going for lunch. I didn't
know so she offered that we could go to the Festhaus together and we
soon left. She called Shannon up to replace me and I told her we were
going to dinner. Shannon came up to me later and grabbed my arm and
joked as she said that she thought I didn't like Melissa and then
hinted that Melissa and I were doing other things than just eating
while we were gone. It was funny. melissa and I sat opposite of mike
and the two new guys. I had a huge roast beef sandwich on Cuban bread
with mushroom gravy everywhere. I also had a huge plate of rice
covered with black eyed peas. It was really good and I was stuffed. I
saw and talked to Rebecca Sanborne for a few minutes before we
finally left much later than I should have.
Lisa was on boardwalk then but she was going home right as I got
back and I took over for her which was cool. I was looking at these
two gorgeous girls in line and Lisa was laughing that I'm worse than
any of them so I complained that all of the girls that work here are
getting married and she snickered. I went back to the Roar Store to
hang out with Lisa some more. I asked her once if she knows Karen and
she said yes and we talked about her for a few minutes. It was
getting close to twelve thirty when she would get her only break for
the day given by Krishna. She had said that Krishna came in an hour
early by mistake and was then running late. She then let me buy a
buffalo nickel from her that some guy had spent and I was pretty
happy because that is my first. Two of her big supervisors walked up
then and I had to take off for a few minutes although I joked with
them for a second and laughed with them.
I was then walking around with August out on the boardwalk when

impressed after he asked if I know her or just said hi and I said the
later. I soon decided that there was no better time than then to
start talking to Krishna so I went over with a moth in my stomach
(not butterflies, just a tiny bit of nervousness since first

leave and she laughed and said yes. She then started complaining
about the weather which is a typical beginning and I said it didn't
bother me. She laughed that neither the heat nor the rain bothers me

June 4, 1994 - Saturday - Nini meets my family....
I opened early this morning with Erin 2, Kristen, and Steve who
was already doing a track run but I helped him out anyway and only
found one lousy quarter. Mike O'Grady had come in early to see if
anybody would call in to try and put in some hours, but luck was
against him today. Kristen was complaining to Erin and me about why
the girls always get sent to wash the coaster while guys always get
to park patrol. I then said that girls are made to clean and they got
upset. I later started helping them clean the rails without them
having to ask to make up for my comment. We were talking about how
the guests never realize how much work it takes to keep the place in
order. I then said that women are the same way because they will
never notice when you do nice things for them, but do one little
thing bad and they won't shut up! It was funny.
I went on to make sure that I opened the door for the ladies and
also carried the ice chest for Kristen. Erin and I were talking to
Mario later at lunch and he said he was talking with some people who
said that men shouldn't automatically assume when getting into a car
that a woman wants the front seat just because it's easier for her to
get in. I said that I offer it to her to make her happy because it's
the best seat and they all agreed. Erin said that there's nothing
wrong with a little chivalry once in a while. I then said that I
wasn't opening the door for them this morning because I didn't think
they could get it, but because I was trying to kiss ass and they
laughed.
I started out working with Kristen on the unloading side and had
fun with her as usual. I still love how physical she will get when
you are messing with her. It's fun. We were talking about chest size
and so forth. I later sent Julie up to where Kristen was so she could
say hi and when she came back she talked and walked with me down to
the bumper cars. As we parted I suddenly looked up and saw Chrissy
and father laughing at me. They then walked around with me for a
little while. Chris came up once in plain clothes and handed me a
flier for his party and I felt special.
They told me that they had seen Nini in the Moroccan Palace and
asked her if she's seen Dan lately. She asked who, and then realized
they were talking about me and they said she got all excited and said
I had better come and see her. The fools told her that I had been
talking about her but wouldn't tell her what so she's probably
paranoid. They then had her call Kumba to see if I was working. I
wonder what she'll think of all this since I left a message with
someone to say hi to her just yesterday. Fools.

but said that Nini wasn't working on weekdays yet. I also ran into
Debbie from Congo Rides and another guy I know in the Koala exhibit.
I usually don't go to the back of the park so I don't see anybody I
know, but it seemed like I couldn't turn around today without being
seen.
I stopped and talked to this black girl in the Sea World booth
who knows Nini. She remembered me and also told me how beautiful my
eyes are. She went on to ask me what I wanted to see Nini for and
then complained that everyone likes her. She then told me about her
and said that she has to marry an Indian guy when she turns
twenty-four through an arranged marriage. We talked for a while

I then went and drag out lunch as long as I could at Burger

May 31, 1994 - Tuesday - Tickle my leg some more!
I have yet to relay the fabulous day of work that I enjoyed on
Sunday. I took over an all day shift at the VIP booth for Randy and
was there early in the morning. As I walked in to the front area a
family with two little girls came up to me. One was about eight and
was crying and apologizing to her parents because she accidentally
left her annual pass on the incoming tram. Her mom explained that
they had only purchased them yesterday and told me the little girls
name and so forth. I told them I'd try and fix it and then told her
how to replace it if we didn't have much luck.
I found out that a girl was driving their tram and asked the
first one that came. She said that this was her first trip to the
station so it must have been Nicole's tram, the next one. I then saw
her stop out in the parking lot and tell Nicole something. When she
came in she announced for the guests to have a great day and then
reminded them to look for that lost pass. That was cool. A guy found
it and I retrieved it and returned it to the family. I then thanked
Nicole and was then thanked by the family. I was just glad that I was
able to find it for them and think I handled the situation very well.
I then met John and we sat there and made fun of people all day
long and talked about the accident on the Monorail on Saturday and
the tent collapsing on the crowd at Sea World. He said that the
Monorail incident was a computer error because the trams are
automatically controlled on that part of the track. Karen, the cute
blonde from merchandising whom I know from last summer walked by a
few times and also stopped to talk to me once for a little while
which is cool. She has her own office now and deals mainly with
things such as cash discrepancies for the entire park. I was flirting
with every girl that I could no matter if they had a boyfriend with
them or not. I once watched a girl walking by and she noticed and
smiled and bragged to her friend. She then looked back once she was
further along to see if I was still looking and her gaze did meet
mine.
At two, an Indian girl came by and traded places with Jon a few
minutes later. I have never found Indians too attractive so I was
disappointed. She also looked like a bitch. We quickly got to know
one another and it was half an hour before I finally took my lunch. I
was allowed two more breaks and a dinner which I never even wanted to
take because we ended up having so much fun together.
She mentioned a bracelet she was wearing to a guest and said it
was a graduation present from her sisters. I asked her where she went
to school and she said Leto! I told her I did too and she asked my
last name and suddenly remembered that I was valedictorian!!! That

Boy I'm miserable. I'm really sick and think it would have been
far less severe if it weren't for this damn cloud of smoke covering
Tampa Bay from all of the brush fires in the area. There's one out in
the swamps somewhere that is burning in the peat and is bellowing
smoke where the flames can't be seen. Yesterday there was smoke at
home when I woke up but none at work. Today it was everywhere! I am
very tolerant of many things, especially severe heat, but I cannot
stand wood smoke! There was a big fire out near Sheldon Road last
night and it was raining ashes all over our house last night. I was
outside with everybody joking that it's snowing and was "trying" to
catch them on my tongue. Cathy helped me catch a few and I concluded
that they are palmetto leaves. This deduction was made at a time when
I though a building was on fire and I was impressed with myself once
I found out it really was a brush fire!
I brought some Nuprin in a Tic Tac cointainer to work today and
took two and felt so much better than on Tuesday. I still kept losing
my voice which really sucked. That used to be the only drugs I would
take but I've started using Tylenol PM after seeing how wonderfully I
slept with a trial packet. Normally I can't sleep worth a damn when I
am sick but are really helpful when I have a full day coming up and
need my sleep. I remember Leigh Anne was surprised when I showed her
my bottle because she always uses them except she uses them to fall
asleep when she's having an emotional breakdown which is pretty
pathetic.
Nilsa let me do a track run and I came out with a dollar and a
half, a camera, and a hat. We have started a new procedure whereas we
have to put these red metal clamps on the control panel and lock them
to prevent anybody from running the ride when we are in the track
area. Nilsa said that was the only key and if I lose it I will be in
big trouble! It felt kind of neat to now that I alone controlled when
the Kumba could open (except for the guy with the bolt cutters!). I
was also the very first person to use the new lock out which was
cool.
I was on boardwalk later with Jimmy who had heard that Mike
Penton and Honeycutt were walking around. I walked up to find him
watching the coaster from the Congo-Kumba bridge and I joined him for
a moment. He said that the boardwalk is beautiful which was an
invitation to watch the coaster with him. He then started saying how
he never realized what a good place that was to watch the coaster. We
were talking all about it and I mentioned the TV show last night
about the building of Drachen Fire in Williamsburg. I then figured I
should get some information about the new coaster from him because he
ought to know what's going on. He said they are no longer going to
build the coaster in Nairobi. We both agreed that it was because it
would scare the animals and ruin Crown Colony's view.
We were both telling each other our ideas about what should
happen and what will. He said that they want to put it up behind the
Crown Colony and Questor by the parking lot and create an entire new
themed area called Little Egypt. That will get a thrill ride in an
area where one doesn't currently exist and spread the guests more
evenly throughout the park. That's cool!
I talked with Shannon today and briefly with Lisa and some of
the guys more than I usually do. I was even talking to Randy for a
while and we both found out that the other was at Chris' party
although we both don't remember the other being there. I also met
this new girl at the photo shop named Yvette who just started four
days ago. She was showing samples to guests by the height stick. She
went to high school in Miami but is now a Junior at USF and is trying
to master in health education to teach in college. She is a young
looking twenty-one. She is really hyper and has no ring on her
finger. I also got to say hi to this other cute girl in the photo
shop whose name I think is Melinda.
I went to lunch up at Crown Colony again and said hi to everyone
I saw. Yesterday this guy came in who I used to know and we joked
around like the good old days. I also saw Ron and some girls from
operations. Today the girls in the food service line were trying to
hook me up with Lucy, some Spanish girl. they started by asking if I
had a girlfriend and how old I am. They were amazed that I am only
nineteen because I look older. It was funny. They then introduced us
and we said hi and made sure each others' names were correct. I then
reminded her that I know her from Christmas and she agreed and said
that I have been gone for a while but then a rush of people came and
she had to go.

really nice and explained that Kristen was sent to another area today
and she would get off according to the amount of time that they need
her to work. We were very courteous to each other. I then saw Kristen
leaving in the parking lot and she waved to me and I gestured back.
She then said that she heard that I talked to her mother today. That
was cool because it meat her mother had remembered my name hopefully
because she has mentioned me! I agreed and said that she seemed
really nice and Kristen said she is. She then asked when I work next
and we concluded that we'll get to see each other again this coming

May 24, 1994 - Tuesday - Missing Shari already...
I have a stupid little throat cold that gave me a headache and
laryngitis all day long. That was a bitch because I wasn't really in
the mood to flirt or anything.
I started out on button and once had this cute girl asking if
she could push it. I told her no because she's not trained on holding
up her thumb so she practiced with me which was kind of funny. Lisa
and Shannon were unloading and I thought it was cool to be seen
flirting in front of them but I didn't look to see what their
reactions were. There was another girl whom I could tell was looking

and was opposite them later on the Skyride when she saw me and

should ask after finding out about Lisa from merchandising's baby
boy, Angelo. I also talked to Lisa, Shannon's friend kind of quickly
a few times and it sucked that I couldn't talk and yell across the
platform.

now and it has reminded me about Shar¡. Although this might not be
all together true, it just it's a very empty feeling to realize that
any chance with Shar¡ has been obliterated by her disappearance. It

how they liked me last year and wonder if it might reoccur. I also
was talking to a really cute little ten year old all about boys and
everything while her friend rode over and over again. It was really
cute and I was thinking about Cathleen the entire time. The girl told
me she has dated a boy who is twelve and one sixteen (pathetic!) and
was telling me all about her problems. It was really funny.
I was later talking to Shannon and asked and found out that her
little girl's name is Lauren which is very pretty. I realized I
should ask after finding out about Lisa from merchandising's baby
boy, Angelo. I also talked to Lisa, Shannon's friend kind of quickly
a few times and it sucked that I couldn't talk and yell across the

now and it has reminded me about Shar¡. Although this might not be
all together true, it just it's a very empty feeling to realize that
any chance with Shar¡ has been obliterated by her disappearance. It

May 23, 1994 - Monday - Kristen's basketball sex
Shari seems to be gone for good this time. I called her up
tonight after getting the answering machine at Ashley's and I left my
name with the guy who answered. It was her brother Chad and he asked if she has called me lately because no one has heard from her for a
week and a half. I was stunned for a few seconds after I hung up and

confused about the whole thing. I then told her the story about Shari
and how I felt all along and she was amazed at how similar my
situation was and how I have experienced exactly what she is going
through. She kept saying that over and over while I was telling my
story and was saying that it all seems the same. I told her that guys
can go through that kind of stuff, too, but women don't think we do
and she disagreed that she knows better.
She was asking me how long it took me to get over Shari and I
picked out feelings that were similar to the ones I knew she was
having right then and told her about those. She agreed with a lot of
them. She wa telling me that she needs to find somebody new real
quick and wants it to be someone she can actually talk to and all
that. I wondered to myself if she considers what we're doing
"talking" because most guys aren't nearly as sympathetic as me. I
started telling her things like, if you get desperate enough, make
sure you always remember me! I was also plugging college guys for
being more mature and all that and she agreed that she wants to get
back into that.
I have a way of dragging things out of her that she normally

told her she can come be a nurse for me and she laughed. I then

about it when she goes to bed and has dead time just to think about

started laughing and told her that she could be in a no-tears shampoo
commercial and that was really funny. I ended our call although she
wanted to talk to me some more just because she has a habit of
sometimes cutting off our calls in midstream because of another call

on his way home as we spoke to attend the wake and the funeral with

She then said that she has to do all of this and then go to
Jana's wedding this weekend. I told her to say hello to Laura for me
and to give my best to Jana and Jamey. She then told me that he mom
and Grandma are on a two week vacation to Hawaii and then her mom and
dad are going to play golf at Saddlebrook when she gets back. Must be
nice. She also told me that it was Daniel's little sister's
eighteenth birthday on Saturday as well which was basically ruined.

why, perhaps she also went to her church nativity. We talked a little
while longer before getting off the phone because I was getting tired
and have to go to work in the morning.

problems like I was her best friend or something. I am really glad I
brought her that one cup of ice water and get to know her before she
transferred to Congo because we probably would have never met then.

Towers [snip]. She doesn't drink much if at all and also is
a people watcher who likes to hang out in a corner. I told her at
work today that I have only had a buzz once in my life and really
don't drink that much, if an effort to similarize myself to her. We
ended up joking around and hanging on each other, constantly
touching, all night long. I had a great time and made some perverted
jokes that she loved. They split at around midnight and I left about
fifteen minutes later after talking with Kevin and Mike for a few
minutes. I saw Dayanara once and she was with a guy but she gave me a
really surprised look when she figured out it was me.

were on the platform, although it was mainly him but I was laughing,
too. Fortunately I had an opportunity to make up with her as we were
both unloading for the last two hours. There were no supervisors
around and thus we played the entire time. It was cool because we

May 22, 1994 - Sunday - Does Erin truly like me?
I don't know whether or not to trust Steve or not, but I kind of
liked what he had to say. We have always talked pretty openly with
each other about everything and I don't really think he would lie
about this or why he would even make this up. August and I were
unloading and Steve was filling the boxes used to hold the guests'
valuables. Steve at first was talking to August but I quickly
captured his sole attention and we talked and flirted with the ladies
in line. There was this gorgeous Brazilian girl who was unbelievable
and alone!!! I flirted with her a lot and would take and personally
return her bookbag to her and smile at her a lot. She was a lot of
fun. Jason from Congo rides was up talking to us later on and told us
she is an exchange student in Boca Raton.
I also noticed this attractive blonde who seemed to keep looking
at me even though she had her boyfriend on her side. I was thinking
about that when Steve suddenly told me that there's a blonde who
keeps giving me the eye every time she comes, and she did a few more
times, too. That was kind of funny. Steve was talking on the phone

May 16, 1994 - Monday - Fall into a blue mine!!!
I don't know, maybe it's a certain time of the month that my
eyes are really blue. Or perhaps I just have to be in a pretty good
mood to be able to look sensuously at a girl with enough glisten in

May 15, 1994 - Sunday - My eyes are blue again!!
Two days at Adventure Island and it seems like I'm as tan again
as I was after all of that time at the pool up in Gainesville. I just
hope the suddenness of it all doesn't lead to a bunch of peeling. it
was pretty packed today with tons of girls because it's the weekend.
I flirted with quite a few of them when I could. I finally got an
empty chaise lounge in front of the wave pool where all the action is
and watched some pretty hot girls laying in the shallow water. After
a while, one rolled over and was wiping a bunch of white stuff off of
her legs that looked like all of her sunscreen had bunched together.
I was soon lying in the water and saw this one woman looking over her
arm right at me. I know the trick because I do the same. She was
exactly what I picture Shar¡ to look like at forty if Shar¡ lives
that long. She had the same stretch marks on her hips and side, sun
dried skin, and kind of looked like her a lot. Her breasts seemed to
be shaped the same until she unhooked her top and showed off a lot of
them from the side. They were far firmer than Shar¡'s.
I then eventually noticed the whiteness on my legs, too. I
suddenly realized the faggots had repainted the pool's floor and
didn't bother to tell anyone that the oil paint wasn't yet dry.
Fuckers. I came every close to complaining to guest relations but the
line was long as I was leaving. I went back to my chair and was
rubbing the paint off as best I could when the big old lady who had
sat down in the chair next to mine started talking with me. She was
amazed by the simulation of a beach in a pool. This was her first
time here and I explained it to her. She lives in Safety Harbor and
was there with her daughter and her ten year old granddaughter. When she
asked and I told her I work over at Busch on the Kumba, she said her
granddaughter will love that because they had gone recently and loved
it, and she was indeed excited when she found out. She told me about
her hip problem and thought it was nice when I let her know that I
understood what she was talking about. That's when I let her know I
go to Gainesville and am trying to be a doctor.
She was saying once that she didn't know where her family went
off to and I joked that they saw she was doing fine on her own
talking to me so they ran away and she laughed about that. It only
goes to show that I can flirt with women of any age. She soon parted
and was quickly replaced by two hot and sexy youngsters. One soon
asked me if I knew what time it was and I laughed inside about the
joke that girls mean that as "I want to fuck you now!" They then ran
away but I stuck around hoping to talk to them and maybe run around
with them. They came back but started getting ready to leave. I

thought about driving in and calling home to see if they had. I knew
that even if they had, I would never be able to find them unless I
paged them but that would take too much time especially if they were
on the Kumba. As I drove by the parking lot I swore I saw his car out
in the boonies under a tree and saw the extensions over the rear
tires that I only recently noticed when we packed the car for me to
come home from Gainesville. I decided to give it a try so I went
inside the park. I tried to walk the path they would go on if they
were walking out and I was highly relieved when I noticed the pair
walking towards me. That was awesome!
Father wasn't feeling well so I asked if they wanted something
from the employee line since I was there. After they had eaten, he
felt much better. We then went through the brewery tour and looked at
all of the animals and special exhibits and stores along the way. I
then got us into the exit of the Skyride. I had a pretty good time
and think they did, too.
I worked all day long yesterday and stayed on boardwalk for over
seven hours!!! I didn't get out of there until after eleven and was a
zombie when I got home. I did have some fun flirting early in the
day, though. I remembered from last year that getting water for
people will instantly be taken as a seriously friendly gesture. The
placed was packed so we had all kinds of people working in the sun. I
carried Kristen some water and she told me that she loves me forever
along with some other compliments. There was this seventeen year old
named Karen whom I had yet to meet. She is Ryan's new girlfriend so I
got her some water and she told me I saved her life and didn't shut
up for the rest of the day. That worked beautifully. She told me all

She even had to gum scrape later on boardwalk and was showing me
the cup of gum she had collected. I joked that she needs more colors
like purple and sent her on a quest. I suddenly stepped on gum and
complained so she seriously told me she;d scrape it off and actually

purple and we laughed hard about that. I ran around with Erin some
during the day and also got water for this rather attractive girl in
the souvenir shop and made her very happy. I also ran into Jeanette,
this youngster who will be in Gainesville this fall whom I know from
last summer.

with the girls in the opposite gondolas. Kelly came in while we were
eating and I talked with her and then started talking to her friend
when she left . I had hoped to impress Mike by meeting someone new.
It turns out that she goes to Gainesville which is cool. I remember
that she came in the same day I did to interview. When she found out
we work at Kumba she asked if we know Chris Saladino and I said yes.
I hadn't talked to him this summer yet but did as soon as I got back

May 13, 1994 - Friday - New traits, new turn ons
What luck!!! Heh heh...
Playing with Kristen [snip] has turned out to be a rather
profitable venture. She's nice, smart, "attractive", and is a lot of
fun. She's not psychotic, stoned, pregnant, married, Jewish, or any
of that bullshit. I'm starting to think that I want to settle down
with a decent girl for I have gotten through my "rebellious" stage I
think. Of course I still want a sixteen year old, but that's another
disgusting story.
Kristen and I greeted each other very pleasantly upon first
seeing each other. We talked throughout the day at our various
positions. We also went together during the track run again and she
motioned for me to come with her and told me she had been told that
somebody dropped some money. We couldn't find it anywhere,
unfortunately. We joked around a lot out on platform and were
anything from sarcastic to sexual to serious. We were also both being
very physical upon her initiation. We touched, tugged and leant on
each other a lot throughout our conversation and I had quite a bit of
fun.
Today was also very eventful in the female department, although
quite a few were still pretty young. I had one group of three cute
kids all calling my name and saying hello from the line. Kristen
laughed and asked if I know them and I said no. One said I have
really cute legs and her friend came up to me later and told me that
she thinks that again. It was cute. There were also some real
knockouts including one whose little top was almost falling off. Mike
knew she had a camera but let her pull down her harness anyway so I'd
