Ashley gave me a call this morning at 8:15, just like she said she would. I then ran downstairs and met her at her door. She was wearing her heather workout outfit with her soft sport bra clearly showing through the sides of her tank top. She looked pretty damn good. She had her hair up in a pony tail and had on just the basic makeup. She had on extra eyeliner that made her eyes really sexy when she'd look at you right. We talked and joked around all the way to class. I hunted forever this morning until I found my razor and shaved. I actually dressed up a little and made myself look as good as possible. I wanted to make up for that gnarly first impression I made last night.
When we got to class we found a couple of seats towards the back of the rapidly filling auditorium. There are almost six hundred and fifty people in that class! She told me that she had her first class as a freshman in that auditorium and it scared the hell out of her because it was the typical movie's representation of college. I had a lot of small classes back then and I didn't have that experience. She's just now pledging into AXê and knows a lot of people but isn't popular enough yet to run around hugging all of the guys in the class like some of the sorority girls were. That means I got to keep the beauty to myself. I saw this girl who was roommates with Tama last year and we talked for a minute and then I talked to Fran‡oise for a few. Ashley kind of just looked at me once and smiled. I was also glad to have Fran‡oise see me with her.
We joked around the entire class time making cool and witty comments. We both really seem to be on each others level about our outlook towards things. Our teacher has that great British accent and it adds some awesome comic relief that wakes us up so early in the morning. Part of the lecture was about Darwin's survival of the fittest and we had a lot to say about that. It was really funny. We also were leaning back and relaxing by the time class was coming to an end. We turned our heads and looked at each other once very sexily. That was really cool. The time kind of flew by and we were joking around some more as we walked to Turlington together. I'd say our relationship is off to a good start. I then ran into the Hub and bought some school books and then headed home.
I gave Laura a call at 12:15 so that we could head over to our chemistry class together. I walked down there to sit with her and her roommate while they ate their salads and we talked for a little while. They asked how Ashley was this morning and I said that she was alright and we actually talked all period. They both asked if she bitched all period or talked about this guy she knows and I when I said no to both they were really surprised. I think I kind of like this girl! She showed up a few minutes later to walk to class with us and a friend form her sorority came as well. We were introduced and they all joked about there being another `Dan!' The new girl then told me that it's really good to be named Dan around that room and smiled... We all then walked to class. I swore I saw Emily walking by and I made sure to let her see me with Laura and Ashley.
We were late to class and I knew there wouldn't be any seats together, especially not three. We walked in and there were a couple of empty spread out ones in the back and we just stood there for a few minutes. I took the initiative and found a row with three empty seats and went into it and made the people scoot all of the way to the end of the row so we could sit together. Laura was a little taken back and I turned to Ashley and told her that was an example of survival of the fittest. She laughed and winked at me. We made it through that class and I asked Ashley to call me again tomorrow morning. I was walking out of our row and told Laura what pretty hair she has and she was shocked that I actually complimented her. I then walked home with her and we parted just the slightest bit shakily. It's time to start being the nicest guy in the world again.
I called Jennifer Hirsch after being home for a while and she was really happy to hear from me. It turns out that there were only two A's in our German class last semester and mine was one of them. That after drinking the beer and all! Ha ha! She whined that Elaine really did love me a lot and it was really obvious. We started reverting to our awesome old conversations about goo and everything else. We both told each other how much we missed each other and having our little conversations. We both agreed that there is nobody else that either of us talk to that talk to each other the way we do. We caught up on the summer and all that's been going on. Of course I never said a word about Shar¡. I ended up eventually giving her my phone number and we promised to go out soon.
I also met the fourth neighbor named Amy while I was outside on the phone with Jenn. She seems really nice and I later told her roommate that I thought she was cute.
I fixed dinner and then gave my lover a call. She actually seemed happy to hear from me and I asked her how my most favorite person is doing. We talked for a good forty minutes and I even got a chance to say hello to Cord. She has him saying my name really well now and he was trying to kiss me through the phone without Shar¡ having to say a thing. That's cool. The kid has good taste! Shar¡ told me that he had been asking yesterday, `Where's Dan?'! That's really cute. We talked about the fact that the first time Shar¡ comes up here, she'll probably be donning Cord. She asked me how I felt about that and I told her that I think it's perfectly fine. Actually he'll be the reason we have to stay home and around campus and spend more time alone together!!!
Shar¡ told me that she did get my letter into the mail today. She warned me again that it does get pretty emotional and tells me how she feels which is exactly what I want. She did say that she thinks I'll like it but not to write to her again until I get it in a couple of days. Oh boy... She tells me that she posed a single outstanding question that I'll probably want to call her about and answer when I get the letter. I can't wait for the thing to get here!!! Right now it's the hottest thing on my mind!
